TEST DRIVE MEME: Good weather?

IT'S SPRING
I almost literally can't believe it isn't snowing right now just to piss me off.

How it Works
Due to the nature of Save the Earth, it's a more complicated process to play in than most other games. With this in mind, it can't hurt to experiment a little.

Post your character and in the comment share a few details regarding their reincarnation. Repeat if you have multiple ideas you want to try out, as many as you like. It's also suggested that you set a scene and there's a few prompts below to help there, but think outside the box if you like. Then tag around to other threads and help your fellow prospective players to test out their characters and the variations on them. Don't be afraid to presume a little CR to make a scene flow more freely, or to assume an Echo or two. If you have an app, complete or in progress, you might want to link it.

Current players may also use these meme to test out specific future Echoes, or as a general meme. Certain scenarios may even be transferred to game canon if both parties agree and it does not conflict with in game events.

The Park
The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip whatever go to the park.
Ice Cream Parlour
Don't lie, this is the first place you want to go the moment the sun even half appears.
The Pool

At Home
Because naturally when it's a nice day you want to cower inside.
Barbecue Party
Abandoning all paranoia, everyone has turned up at a barbecue. It's the wildest party imaginable.
Beach
Apparently Locke City has one. I bet it's nice.
Country Hike
All that nature out there can be visited too.
The Street
Oh man, this is the worst location prompt ever. I apologise.

Prompt 2: Event
Suddenly, Rain
And here's you in just a white shirt and short shorts.
A Public Echo
One of those places up there triggers an inexplicable Echo. Are you going to have to grab a hat to hide those new horns? Maybe it's even your first.
A Date
I hear nice weather gets people in the mood for romance. I'm against it, personally.
Here on Business
Mysterious goings on have been detected in the area and it's your job to check them out. Some suggested shenanigans could include plants that try to eat people, a red herring new statue or maybe this thing popping out from behind a bush to play a saxophone in an irritating manner. Go nuts.
Getting Used to a New Echo
Maybe this one is a pain in the butt, either if because it's noticeable or hard to control. Or maybe you just like to practice.
Everything is Normal
Things aren't bizarre 24/7, you know.
Alien Invasion
The Martians* are attacking! They want our brains/world/women/hot dogs. Take these freaks out... or cower in terror.

*Martians are not actual Save the Earth villains.

[In her past life she was a surgeon, a terrorist, a spirit medium/investigator, and a mother (not necessarily all at once). Today Naomi Kaufman is a forensic chemist who's recently moved to Locke City to distance herself from those in the gang she ran with in her teens and make sure the daughter of her old friends stays out of danger.]

Prompt 1: The pool; suddenly rain
[It's a nice day. It's a weekend; Anna's playing at a friend's house for the afternoon and the forecast is good, so Naomi takes advantage of a rare opportunity and goes out to relax. She's lying back on a chair in a bathing suit, enjoying the heat and thinking about going for a swim--

Until she feels the first raindrops.]

Rain? You're kidding me.

Prompt 2: Ice cream parlor; new echo
[After the movies comes ice cream because it's not easy to say no to Anna and really, why not. At her side Anna's deciding whether she wants mint or chocolate chip cookie dough (only one scoop today) and Naomi's watching her in bemusement when her phone starts vibrating.

She goes distinctly stiff for a second before taking it out of her pocket and addressing Anna somewhat absent-mindedly.]

Hang on, honey, just a moment...

[Sally Mondragon is a private investigator, but is for now on no case, and intends to spend a few of her possibly a few days' spare minutes in front of the parlor with the little cup of raspberries-and-cream and tiny spoon in her hand.

It's still in her nature to snag details, perhaps. Her steps pause when the mother(?) near the front of the counter who she passes by stiffens quite suddenly, addresses the little girl with a changed and half-present tune.

Sally turns her head a bit, with a tilted head.]

Ma'am. Are you okay?

[Naomi doesn't answer directly, just nodding at the woman and taking her call.]

This is Naomi.

[She listens for a moment, frowning as she does.]

Right now? It's--yes, I know. But I'm on the other side of the city and I'm out with Anna right now. Have you tried Mark? Do that.

[She hangs up and checks her phone one last time before pocketing it, meanwhile forcing her frustration under control for Anna's sake.]

I'm sorry about that. Have you decided what flavor you want?

[Jungo isn't much of a swimmer, but it's a pretty day and his Boss had practically forced him to take a day off. He was getting ready to leave, his tote on his shoulder when it started to rain.

He blinks up at the clouds, not too upset considering he's already wet. But then he hears the lady mention it, and without a word digs through his bag and opens up an umbrella (he's stayed out in the rain with his alley friends often enough), holding it over her]

[Naomi looks bewildered for a moment, not having expected such kindness from someone who just happened to be next to her at the pool.]

Oh. Thank you. You don't have to do that, though - I was just surprised. I was looking forward to a swim...

[He smiles, then looks back up at the clouds, seeming to think for a moment]

Could still swim. No lightning yet, so it's safe.

Hm...perhaps. It'll beat sunbathing. Are you swimming today, then?

[physrepel]

[he nods]

Swimming in the rain is nice. Like being part of the storm.

Poetic. I'm surprised.

[He blinks then smiles]

Is it? It's just how I feel.

It's not what I would have thought. Care to come, then? I would like to get some time in the pool before it's too late.

[He smiles, the expression bright. It's not clear if he even noticed the round about almost-insult: he knows he looks scary and dumb. A thug at best. But that's okay]

That'd be nice.

[He closes the umbrella, offering her a hand up from the seat]

[More the age, actually. Young people - or, well, younger. Thirty-one isn't that old, thank you very much! She wasn't expecting this much courtesy from anyone, that's for sure, but she takes his hand and gets up.]
