"You'd better." She teased him, not really meaning those words. He couldn't help that his family had sprung this little surprise on him, and it's not like she really minded going. She'd get to catch up with Sylvie, which would be nice, as she hadn't seen Lucas' sister for a long while. That was certainly a plus. It was a shame that they most likely wouldn't get their alone time, but it certainly wasn't the end of the world either.

"Really, it's fine. Family is important, and I don't think we've all been together since... the holidays, yeah?" She was sure that it had been that long since the entire clan had gathered together.

"Did they want us to bring anything? We could buy something to take over?" It seemed like the polite thing to do, considering they were inviting them over. But she'd leave that decision to Lucas. There was no way Hannah could cook something decent in time for the dinner. She wasn't exactly the greatest cook anyway.
