"Have I ever failed to delivery on a promise?" He teased right back, pressing another quick kiss to her cheek. He'd definitely make certain not to tired himself out before they made it home. Though he was sure that going to be an hour or so later than usual wouldn't mess up his schedule. After all they deserved a little time to themselves.

"About that, yeah. It's likely the reason why my parents wanted to do a family dinner. Let's just hope that everyone can behave themselves." He added with a small laugh, before calling to Elise not put something she was holding in her mouth. Within moments he had released his light grip on Hannah and moved over to Elise, quickly scooping up the small child, while simultaneously taking the toy out of her hand. The baby only lightly protested already growing tired from the morning outing, that she simply opted to chew on her dad's shoulder instead.

"I'm actually not sure, I'll call my mother once we get home and ask her if she needs us to bring anything." He finally answered, turning back to Hannah with a smile. "I think someone is going to need a nap after lunch." He added, rubbing Elise's back as she shifted in his arms and nuzzled against him.
