[ooc; Your character is likely to recognize Mai from the following: - She works at a shop in the mall. For now we'll say hot topic, that amuses me. - She attends Locke Highschool and will be a senior this year. - She's apathetic, generally anti-social and a touch of a goth in terms of dress.]
------------------
RAIN; Does it have to rain every day?
[That's probably an overstatement but frankly Mai feels like that's all it's been doing for days on end. She just managed to get under the overhang before a little coffee shop in time for a real torrent of water to be dumped from the sky. She stands, pulling those long sideburns from where they want to stick to her cheeks.
At least she hadn't worn a skirt today. She busies herself shaking the water from her umbrella with heavy annoyance.]
MONSTERS IN THE PARK; [If there's one good thing about the echoes, they have a way of timing themselves just before you need them. Mai ducks into an alley, trying to avoid a few wandering dogs that look none too typical. She flicks a hand and the reassuring pressure of a knife rests against her palm in a way it wouldn't have a week ago.
She smirks a touch as dark-painted nails dig into the grip of the knife, her voice breathless and yet amused.]
This is kind of exciting actually.
NORMAL DAY AT THE MALL; [What do you do when you're broke and the last thing you want to do is stay to listen to your mom and dad fight all day long? You go to the mall and enjoy things you can't afford to buy ever.
Currently Mai is enjoying a bookstore, flipping through some cheap book about some horrible bloody crime spree. Don'tcha love the crime section?]
OPEN; [Make up something if you don't like these prompts, I'm game.]
