I'm sorry this got long!

Xander didn't know what to expect when he meets Sandrath. Sure, he had a few memories and abilities of the being he was becoming, but it was nothing compared to the real thing. It was rather startling at how close the other man resembles himself, except he has brown eyes instead of blue, no visible scars and dressed rather elegantly. Yet, there was this presence to this other man, with a confident posture and a rather cocky, all-knowing smirk on his face. Although, that expression didn't last long when the other being notices him. It was quickly replaced by a darker, curious expression with a slight tilt of his head as he approaches. Xander stands his ground, keeping his gaze level with the other man, but flinches slightly at catching a flicker black from the other man's eyes. That was something he hasn't seen before and has no idea what that flicker meant. It was enough for him to stay on guard, not sure what to come next.

"Well, someone is clearly trying to rile some old memories." Sandrath comments with a chuckle, moving to pace around him. "I have to admit whomever did this did a good job of recreating my first vessel, but they've missed a few details."

Just like that, the other being is pressing up against him and brought an arm to the front before brushing a hand against Xander's stomach, smoothing his palm across the fabric there. Xander couldn't help but tense a bit, finding himself at a bit of a disadvantage as Sandrath's hand moves across his torso. He would pause to tap a spot with his finger with a 'here' before continuing to another spot, sometimes dragging his finger to indicate a longer injury. It didn't take long for Xander to guess that Sandrath was referring to the time that he and his Conleth were stuck together and being tortured, a traumatic memory he received from a pulse after drinking the water when it was tainted. Except his train of thought was interrupted by a sharp pain in his side and glances down to see a weapon in the other man's hand. That knife wasn't there before and he would have felt Sandrath move to pull it out. This was rather concerning, considering his predicament.

"I could be kind and fix those tiny, little details..." Sandrath starts with another chuckle as he pulls back the blade and his other hand reaches up grasp Xander's throat, forcing his head back. "But you don't have to keep your lips sealed or else I'll start to think that you've lost your voice and you'll ruin my fun. Besides, it's not like I'm planning on impaling you against the wall and seeing what is on the inside."

If this was the person Xander was to become, he did not like it at all. He was nothing like this other man who invaded his space, felt him up before injuring him without missing a beat. What a sadistic bastard.

Xander could feel an increase of pressure on the sides of his throat, but he manages to grunt out. "...That won't be necessary. I would appreciate remaining intact."

As soon as he answered, the pressure decreases, but he can still feel Sandrath's hand around his neck and a sudden burning sensation around his injury. It was very similar to the time Savarna had healed him, but it lacked any trace of comforting warmth. It didn't fix the tear in his shirt and the stain that was drying in to it.

"So, he finally speaks!" Sandrath's words were followed by laughter as he moves to stand in front of him while keeping a hold on Xander's neck.

The rest of Sandrath's words went ignored since Xander's attention was focused on the murderous expression he was seeing. Something he said must have struck a nerve in the other being. This wouldn't end well and he should take his leave before it got worse. Without another word, he started to slip in to the shadows. The process was slow, but it was enough to cause Sandrath to stop in the middle of whatever he was saying to look at Xander with interest.

"Well, aren't you a bit of a surprise." The tone was flat, but Sandrath didn't bother to grab Xander from disappearing in to the shadows.
