[A few blocks away from the local high school, there's a kind of sickly looking boy walking slowly up and down the street, holding a bucket. After reaching a certain point, he bends down and takes something out of the bucket and starts rubbing it on the sidewalk. Upon further observation, you'll find that the majority of this street's sidewalk has already been covered in his chalk art. Colorful swirls and twists dance and intertwine all down the block, making shapes in cute little animals and spooky ghosts.

Chances are if you're on your way home, this nerd is in your way. Do you yell at him? Bump into him? Stamp all over his hard work? Marvel at it?

It's only taken three hours, but I'm almost at the end of the street...

Days off for Vivian came rarely, when they did at all, so she'd learned to relish them. On this lovely Saturday, she found herself in Locke's biggest mall and entirely plainclothes. The city might have been on high alert for "ecoterrorists", but Viv knew that there was something a little wrong with that explanation and wasn't really concerned with it right now anyway.

Maybe her suddenly pink hair had something to do with her suspicions. At least she wouldn't have to destroy it with too much bleach when she finally picked up the hair dye she desperately needed. With hope, this would just be a routine visit where she didn't get mad at stores putting up Christmas decorations weeks ago, or advertising Black Friday sales before Thanksgiving even happened.

Whoops, too late for that. She grimaced to herself, pulled her beret down so the brim covered her glare, and kept walking with her hands in her peacoat.

Let's see... the eyes work the same, but considering that before I had like, 20/400 vision, and now it's up to about 20/15, I'm still winning.

And I can't really show the legs off on a webcam also I'm not taking my pants off for a random internet stranger, but they've got enough thrust that hypothetically I could fly with them... problem is that I don't have any of the stabilizing surfaces or enough power, so I can basically only rocket jump.

The biggest problem I've had is that they're just not very well designed. Stupid things try to draw power by converting my blood sugar, which leaves me exhausted... got an auxiliary power source, thankfully, but I still have to be careful about my food intake.

That is rad as hell. I haven't gotten anything like that yet, but based on the memories I've been getting, prospects are good.

[It seems that you and one of your fellow numbered - this one, as it appears - found yourselves needing to take on a Vermedi. And you succeeded! Bashed the thing's head in.

The two of you are standing over it. He breathes a "...phew", and begins licking his teeth in some leftover anxiousness.

Pauses.

Goes licking very pointedly at one of his canines. Hard to say why - it appears to be a normal canine. All the same he lifts a hand to his mouth, outlines it with a finger - still appears to be a normal tooth!]

[The girl who got splashed the most out of all of that is looking awfully disgruntled, if not even slightly pitiful. She's got an unhappy frown even as she raises a hand to try to brush the soggy hair away from her eyes.]

I say do it. I got a stronger and tougher arm without a choice in the matter. In a totally controlled and supervised environment, there's nothing that can go wrong, probably.

Kara was out and about the city, taking a break from her oppressive workload to enjoy a few sunny hours of the weekend. It was refreshing to be out of the library and wandering through the streets, even if today she didn't have a particular goal in mind. With tests looming on the horizon it was enough for her to simply flow with the crowd.

As she walked towards a shop, her peripherals picked up someone following in close behind. In a move of politeness, she went to hold the door open for them - and promptly pulled the thing right off its hinges. Kara's brief flash of surprise was quickly replaced by a sheepish smile as she gingerly attempted to place the door back as if nothing had happened.

"Ah...excuse me?" she said unconvincingly, nervous laughter trailing after her speech. Somehow she doubted she could play this off as normal, but she had to at least try.
