'Tis a new month, and let us have another round of the CR/Plotting Meme!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

Character: Bakura
Pre-Incarnation: Bakura Ryou, Yami Bakura and Thief King Bakura

In sum, nerdy kid with a love of games and major anger and abandonment issues.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: He has cousins off in Japan and in Vegas? But... IDK.

Open/Wanted CR: I would love for more openings for Bakura to be proven 100% wrong about people, whether it be someone he pegged for a jerk/traitor/etc actually being a really good guy or someone he thought was a good guy being a backstabber.

Also anyone who's a good stabilizing influence and friends for shenanigans.

Other Info: Bakura's plan to get into classes at Locke U starting the next semester has been derailed due to heavy plot stuff being a major road block for him getting his grades up enough, so he's still in the high school, much as he hates it.

I feel like Bakura's natural pessimism is starting to clash with Marisa's natural optimism. We should do something with that building tension. Not sure what, though?

Also I'm too lazy to switch journals but if you want him to be proven wrong about someone how about Angela? She's a cop, but isn't going to take place in hurting kids. In fact she'd go out of her way to help them. She takes that "protect and serve" bit seriously.

Hrmm... Not quite sure what either. Especially with how Bakura flops back and forth with his moods. Over dramatic fight/break up in the middle of school maybe?

And yeah, Angela's a good one for that. Wasn't his first thread with her all just angry face posturing anyway? Cause he doesn't have anything against network cops in general [he's actually a bit fond of Kotetsu and his fail :D] just against people in general.

Get in a "WELL I NEVER LIKED YOU ANYWAYS" Sort of shouting match, then later they make up over video games. Everyone's all "So what happened with Marisa/Bakura?" And they're like "Oh no big deal we're cool now."

As for Angela, she didn't get off on a good foot with Bakura, no. She stumbles upon a huge magical network of people conspiring who knows what and practically the first thing that happens is some punk kid starts screaming at her about how worthless and horrible the police are. I'm planning on throwing her headfirst into whatever the next big operation is, so maybe it can happen there. She can be all "Wait a second. You're that little shit who was getting on my case when I started all this!"

Something like that, yeah :D People brace for another huge blow up and instead it's just stalking off in opposite directions and suddenly the next day they're chatting like nothing ever happened.


More reasons Bakura uses text all the time :D Harder to connect which little shit he is~ Actually getting him to see her as a person is the first big hurdle, but being in a plot point together should do that easily.

...he might ask her what it was like to die because what is tact. And that's just... a thing.

Alas, they do not go into too much detail about werewolf regeneration. I'll bluff like a madman and steal from other bits of fiction. Add a layer of Fuck You Pal on top to avoid giving any real details and I think it'll sound pretty good.

As for Marisa, we just need something to start the fight over. Perhaps it could start over Marisa insisting that LHS isn't THAT bad, and then Bakura's dislike of the school combined with the general miasma of stress and fear from how awful everything is getting leads to it just getting completely out of hand.
