TEST DRIVE MEME

> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, HOW FUN
> The most horribly kitschy Arts and Crafts Fair you can imagine.
> NEW YEARS. What better way to start out the new year than to learn that everything you know is a lie? Or if you are already acquainted with the network pass out some resolutions.
> A food fight has just broken out in the cafeteria. Join? Flee? The choice is yours alone.
> Wild Card! Make up your own.

HOLY CRAP, B;

Daigo Kiryuu is the world's best kindergarten teacher. All right, maybe not, but he's the kind of man who's really dedicated to his job, and that includes walking the craft fairs looking for things to decorate his classroom, and things for the kids to do. The dinosaur skeletons are something he notices pretty much right away, but he doesn't let himself go near them until he's bought three or four things for the kids.

Dinosaur skeletons are definitely too fragile for a classroom, but they'd look right at home at his place! He bends down, to poke at them.

"I'll take this guy," he says, picking up the obligatory tyrannosaurus rex. It's giving him a good feeling. When she steps away to box it up for him, he stretches, looking around.

Wait, is that a parrot? His eyebrow furrows. What the hell would one of those be doing here?

THE FEELING IS MUTUAL HI

The parrot realizes he's been seen, but instead of flying away like a good escapee from the zoo, he just cocks his head to one side and looks right back at Daigo. Oddly enough, the parrot seems to approve of that purchase Daigo just made...but that's crazy, right? Parrots can't approve of things. At least, normal parrots can't approve of things.

What a weird bird! Daigo takes the bag and steps away from the table, then shifts his bags around so he can offer the bird his wrist at chest level for a perch, if it wants it. "You lost, or just sightseeing, buddy?" he asks, voice pitched kind of low as he approaches carefully but not at all stealthily. Parrots were definitely smarter than the lovebirds they'd kept at the school where he'd done his student teaching. More importantly, of course, they could talk. Maybe it had something to say!

"Just sightseeing!" While the parrot's voice sounded parrot-like, there was something about the way it spoke that suggested it wasn't just playing back sounds it had heard before. He hopped onto the offered wrist, careful not to poke the human with his claws. "What are you doing?"
gaburincho: (yeah i mean i punched a dino once)

"See anything you like yet?" There is definitely something weird about this bird. It's like talking to a person who's bird shaped, instead of talking to a bird. He hefts the plastic shopping bag and the two linen bags he'd tucked the rest of his stuff into along his other forearm.

"I teach little kids. Gotta keep the craft options fresh, right?" He leans closer, like he's sharing a secret, grinning. "The dino is for me, though. I've still got shelf room and I can always use more dinosaurs."

"I like those." The parrot points at the dinosaur skeletons with one of his feet. "And that one you got."

He bobs his head a bit in an exaggerated imitation of a human nod at that. "The little ones take a lot of watching. And teaching." He studies the dinosaurs on the table a bit more closely. "Those are dinosaurs, then?"
