TEST DRIVE MEME
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, HOW FUN
> The most horribly kitschy Arts and Crafts Fair you can imagine.
> NEW YEARS. What better way to start out the new year than to learn that everything you know is a lie? Or if you are already acquainted with the network pass out some resolutions.
> A food fight has just broken out in the cafeteria. Join? Flee? The choice is yours alone.
> Wild Card! Make up your own.

He did not seem to be appreciative of the sudden attention this human was showing him, yet he did not want to let on to this fact. He hopped away a bit, rather than simply up and flying away. Flying away might have drawn more attention to himself than he wanted at this point.
Besides, he was a brave parrot. Humans did not frighten him.

"Well, you came from some one..." Bakura mused aloud. "Not like parrots are native around here or anything so it's not like it could be any other way," he reminded himself with a small roll of his eyes. "So there's either some old lady who's looking for you or you're a jail break..." he mused.

"...You talk?"
A pause. Dumb question. "Like actually talk, not just mimic crap. ...which clearly that wasn't what you were doing since you answered my question, geeze I'm being captain obvious today." He sighed, shaking his head. "Not going to make you go anywhere, no worries there," he added in after thought.

Not that that was entirely fair or true, it was mostly the talking horse that was... well. More of a girl than a horse.

"Just recently found you could do it? Got a number stuck in your head when it happened?"

"...Who? Someone connected to the statue...?"
Because if the parrot thought the actual statue was mad...

.... okay sure. A weird Statue of Liberty hat. Why not. He was having a conversation with a bird, after all and this was likely going to be the least weird part of his day.
"Like you how? An animal who could talk like a person?"

And he had a hat. A Statue of Liberty sort of hat.
