TEST DRIVE MEME

> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, HOW FUN
> The most horribly kitschy Arts and Crafts Fair you can imagine.
> NEW YEARS. What better way to start out the new year than to learn that everything you know is a lie? Or if you are already acquainted with the network pass out some resolutions.
> A food fight has just broken out in the cafeteria. Join? Flee? The choice is yours alone.
> Wild Card! Make up your own.

The teen reached up to trace the scar under his eye with his left hand, showing off both scars with the same motion. "I got this."
radiantchicken: (such a pretty bird)

The parrot made a sympathetic cooing noise. "Looks like that hurt."

A shrug. "Didn't notice when it happened. And it was a while ago."
radiantchicken: (hey a parrot)

[personal profile] radiantchicken 2013-12-31 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
The parrot gave another whistle. "Even things that happened long ago can still hurt." He sounded very assured of that, even though he was not a terribly old parrot.

Another shrug. "Yeah, well. This isn't one of them." It was said with an odd stiffness before he glanced over. "You got something like that too?"
radiantchicken: (hey a parrot)

The parrot pointed at a tiny replica Statue of Liberty over on another table. "Bad things happened." He made a sad parrot noise. "He was still mad at me a very, very long time after. And I was still unhappy with him."
shiromadoushi: (Anime: I don't?)

Blink. Blink blink.

"...Who? Someone connected to the statue...?"

Because if the parrot thought the actual statue was mad...

"He had a hat," the parrot said simply, "a hat like that one. And he was...like me? But not like me. And very bad." To be fair, it didn't make much sense to the parrot, either.
shiromadoushi: (Anime: wut)

"A hat like..." Bakura looked over at the statue, then back at the bird.

.... okay sure. A weird Statue of Liberty hat. Why not. He was having a conversation with a bird, after all and this was likely going to be the least weird part of his day.

"Like you how? An animal who could talk like a person?"
radiantchicken: (hey a parrot)

[personal profile] radiantchicken 2013-12-31 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't know like how. We didn't look at all alike. He wasn't a bird." The parrot sounded frustrated by that. "But we were the same somehow."

And he had a hat. A Statue of Liberty sort of hat.
