TEST DRIVE MEME
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, HOW FUN

> NEW YEARS. What better way to start out the new year than to learn that everything you know is a lie? Or if you are already acquainted with the network pass out some resolutions.

Chuck falls to his knees and rubs his head right where he was hit. He did not actually expect that thing to hurt!
After a few seconds, though, he gets back up on his feet, poised to fight with both fists clenched.]

Come on, you're not getting away that easy!

[And he lunges forward, aiming to punch her in the upper chest, near the shoulder. He doesn't really want to hurt a little girl, after all--which is also why, while the punch has a fair amount of force behind it (that hit on his head hurt, man!), he's definitely not giving it his all.]

[She's gonna step forward and down, slashing upwards at the elbow behind the punch in way that, ideally, should be very painful without doing any long-term damage.]

He sees it coming and tries to sidestep her retaliation. It mostly works, her move only slighting him in the arm. It hurts a little, but not enough to make him stop.
Fighting, Chuck realizes, is kinda difficult when you don't actually have any formal training in it and your opponent does. (Why does she know how to fight, anyway?? What the hell.)
He rushes in again with another punch, aimed for her other side, putting a little more speed into it this time.]

[With another rehearsed motion and freakishly good reflexes, Youmu sidesteps outside of Rex's punch and then whirls around to strike hard at the small of his back.]

[He groans in frustration. This is getting him nowhere and this girl is better with her toy wooden sword than he'd like to admit. He decides to just rush at her head-on, with all the force of a
great typhoonfancy cyborg, hoping to get to her before she can really react and pin her up against the wall of the nearby building that has totally been there this entire time, okay, shut up.]
