The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

A last round of the CR/Plotting Meme for Season 1 - gear up further for the finale and/or breather and/or entrance into Season 2! And, of course, no end of more general purposes.

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

Character: Edward Hayes
Pre-Incarnation: Edward Elric

A young prodigy alchemist who's made some bad decisions in his life, and is now working with his brother to try to fix things, and right some wrongs with his homeland in the process.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: Ed grew up in a fairly small midwestern town, only arriving in Locke a year ago to attend college. He's studying computer science, and tends to be found buried in texts or programs somewhere most of the time. He's really kind of kept to himself so far, being new to the area and kind of a socially inept nerd, but he still likely knows at least a few other students.

Open/Wanted CR: He'd be new, so anything and everything! Especially people who might bully persuade him to be more social and get his nose out of a book from time to time.

Other Info: This Ed's an only child who's had a pretty easy life and will probably be thrown off quite a bit as he Echoes back to his true self. And by suddenly getting quite a bit shorter.

Anything Else?: Nothing I can think of!

This guy isn't in game yet, I'm apping him when apps open back up but Holly's a little young so would you mind CR with an Engineering major? He will work at the Starbucks right next to the college. He's got a bit of a temper but is actually pretty nice unless you trigger it.

Or if you want negative CR we can work for that.

Not at all! :D Coffee is important to people who study too much, so he's definitely been in that Starbucks, and could definitely get to know some of the employees from seeing them so often.

:) Deren will know everyone by their drink orders instead of names for a while lol. I will have to add a post just with peoples orders for hilarity.

Oh that sounds perfect, Ed's absolutely going to be ordering the same thing almost every single time. He'll really only know Deren's if he's got a nametag on regularly, otherwise he'd just be the "familiar barrista." At least it's something!

That nametag will be there, unfortunately. lol but feel free to never have noticed it if you want or that it's so far down on the apron it's hard to see.

Makes sense and obviously WHEN he picks up the coffee he has none IN his system so even more of a reason. This will be brilliant because there will be times Deren is doing his homework on his break. /o/

I can pretty much guarantee he'll call Deren "Coffee Guy" the first few times he encounters him outside Starbucks. Possibly even longer, if he ends up echoing back his pre-incarnated self's knack for names. (Which is... well, it's something, anyway.)

I guess this means that, if I get accepted, I'll have to add a coffee order to his info page, huh? I think for purposes of hilarity when he loses his height, it should be something Tall.

That sounds totally reasonable! He might be slightly oblivious to her until he starts getting caught up in things, but he would at least recognize her as "that girl in my _____ class."

Would she be taking something sciencey like Chemistry? So far the only courses I know for sure he's going to be in are major courses and that (for echo purposes)... which means I can also fill in that blank with just about anything else, too.
