Convention Meme Part Deux

THE SAVE THE EARTH COMIC-CON PANEL

It's that time of year again! The unexpected smash-hit television series "Save the Earth" has just wrapped up its first season and once again the cast has returned to the convention world to answer questions, hint at upcoming events, debut showcase trailers, show never-before-seen behind the scenes footage and bloopers, and get up to all sorts of other stuff!

How To Play!
1. This meme assumes that all character canons don't exist in this reality. They've all been created for the show
2. Post with your character. You are now writing the character's "actor" in this strange meta-universe. Include their real name and a little bit about where they came from. Are they a fan favorite? A newcomer to television lucky enough to get their start on such a successful show?
3. Post anonymously (or not) to ask fan questions of other characters! Everything from the ordinary to shipping stuff to creepy and weird. Talk about the show, hint at characters' preincarnations and tease audiences about the crazy stuff future Echoes will bring. Talk about what actors you like to work with and who you can't stand to be around. Tell stories of pranks and shenanigans on set!
4. Or just do whatever you want to do. I don't know. I'm not your boss.

And for all reference needs: the previous one can be dug up here.

harper sutherland → madeline moore

[ A seasoned television veteran at the spry age of nineteen. Madeline "Maddie" Moore got her start in the business as a baby, starring in various commercials and modeling ads for children's clothing. Her big green eyes and sunny disposition even as a toddler made racking up experience in front of a camera a breeze for her. Her parents let her finish out elementary school normally, but her middle school years saw many talent searches and casting calls. When she was 12, she landed a 'quirky best friend' slot on a popular Disney daytime television show, and several other smaller roles and appearances since then.

Save the Earth is what she considers her first 'major' role, with its wide fanbase and staggering popularity. And a con, you guys. She talks about her casting as Harper Sutherland enthusiastically, and she's usually a barrel of giggles about the whole thing. She loves receiving gifts from fans (and on this particular con day, has two gigantic stuffed toys of Rery and Fary, Harper's fairies, in either arm), being able to ad lib, and generally funning around with her fellow actors and actresses.

She's also notorious for fanning the rumor flames.

Eugen Lambert --» Felix Haider

[ An Austrian model known for his androgynous quality is one of the newer addition to the cast who only appeared in the last few episodes of the first season of STE. With a career track that centers mainly around fashion shows and advertisements, STE is officially his first debut as an actor.

Notably nervous to be given such a role, he's also excited to be included in the list of mecha pilots of the fantasy sci-fi show. Having near to zero knowledge about anything mechanical, he has talked about the massive amount of reading he has to do prior to shooting. His effort has gained him a certain amount of new found respect among fans of the show for his role as a research engineer who found himself a Gundam during the epic season ending battle with Wise Snake.

Contrary to the more social Eugen Lambert who is quoted by production notes to have been in several relationships (among them Melissa Lyre, played by variety veteran Rachel Richards), Haider's lack of experience in the matter has urged him into asking for "love advice" from the cast, including Richards herself. This often resulted in funny moments when the cast attempted to fool the young model with bizarre advice, much to the humor of the cast and fans alike.

Today, he's smiling nervously trying to answer whatever question tossed his way. ]

[ Twenty-four-year-old baby-faced Irish-American who struck it big with Save the Earth. Before his audition, the most exposure he'd ever had to the industry was acting school, and helping out on a few indie productions. So if asked about how he feels re: STE's reception and his role within it as Season 2 nears, he'd probably reply with nervous laughter and a completely genuine, "Alarmed, really!" There was some debate over his casting, given that he'd been all but new to the scene, but he nailed his readings with both professional enthusiasm and by-the-seat-of-his-pants charisma, landing the role at the series debut.

Despite how seriously he does take his job, Noah is, first and foremost, a goofball. A far cry from the seriousness of his character (which he thinks is awfully funny, given the unicorn thing), he also has a serious lack of shame when it comes to STE's fandom. He loves blogging outlandish theories and riling fans up, spamming twitter with awful backstage selfies of him and his coworkers, especially when there's pranks afoot.

(There are usually pranks afoot.)

ghostly_heiress: (I'm totally innocent)

Danielle Masters --> Anna Swan

[personal profile] ghostly_heiress 2014-03-17 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
[13 year old Anna isn't new to the acting thing. Mostly she's been in stage production, including a few broadway shows and is rather well known to have an absolutely wonderful, and powerful, singing voice and has been favored for when a child needs to sing on stage. Save the Earth would be her first television role.]

[There is some split opinions on her character, since it wasn't hard from an outsider perspective to realize that young Danielle was a liar, and once it was discovered she was YET ANOTHER person with green blasting energy, there had been a number of complaints. Not to mention she was some sick young heiress daddy's girl, and there were already murmurs of Mary Sue. And yet there's already a few fans who are quite interested in her character, wondering at what they aren't seeing about a girl who lies, but was still quick to throw herself into helping Wise Snake. (Not to mention a number of fanfics of Danielle and Toushirou meeting after a short line during the season finale.)]

[As it was, Anna was rather composed for a child actor. After years on the stage, she was used to speaking in front of crowds, and was quite polite to anyone who asked her a question. Though there was on incident where she started laughing at the comment of was she just written into the show and just zipped her mouth when she was asked about it.]

gobybessie: (→84)

John Smith → Peter Baker and Jonathan Grace

[personal profile] gobybessie 2014-03-17 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
[ Last con, the actor of John Smith couldn't be present. This time, you get two in one!

Not only that, for the duration of the con Peter and Jonathan are practically inseparable. Really, most of the time they seem to just be squabbling over the most mundane things, but the brief shooting of the regeneration scene was actually enough to connect them and form a friendship. With lots of squabbling. Their personalities clash more often than not, it seems.

Still, they're friendly, and smile at anyone who might approach. And, chances are, you'll find Peter occupying Jonathan's knee rather than an own chair. Because if Jonathan's lucky to be so tall, Peter will create his own advantages. ]

Sam Middleton -> Don Williams

[personal profile] part_time_overlord 2014-03-17 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
Williams was a controversial choice for the demon king of fast food. Not because he's a bad actor, but because he's got a reputation for being rude to the tech crew, being a bad tipper, and for trying to justify elaborate expenses on wild parties to the budget of whatever project he's currently working on. Sam is a younger character than he normally plays, but he's got several villains under his belt, which was what got him this role. Most famously, he played the sociopathic lawyer/serial killer from the season finale of a recent popular crime drama. He played the creepy bad boy "Maybe I'll make out with you, maybe I'll kill you" role to the hilt, and it got him a fairly devoted fanbase.
grannyfucker: (Default)

Jovan Burzek --> Liam Wellyns

[personal profile] grannyfucker 2014-03-17 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, Liam has previously held a few major supporting roles in other TV dramas. The screentime he gets in STE is actually pretty comparable to his other roles, but the biggest difference is that Jovan is a drastically different character than he usually plays. When he was first cast for the part, people had no doubt he'd play the meek and awkward part of Jovan fantastically, but there was concern he wouldn't be able to pull off the mean and nasty side of his personality. After all, Liam's played plenty of shy guys but never an asshole.

At the con, he's grinning and looks relaxed, but isn't really saying anything. What are you supposed to say, on the panel of a show where you play someone who casually talks about making a fleshlight out of another character's mom's vagina?]
mysteltinn: (3)

Owen Thalberg --> Ted Frank

[personal profile] mysteltinn 2014-03-17 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[This is not Ted's first con, though certainly first as a face-actor. Before StE he was mostly a character actor in minor roles in kid's tv... until he found his calling in voice acting. Mostly cartoons but the occasional video game role. He hasn't been on live action tv for a few years now, before StE of course. He specializes in talking animal characters more often then not.

Like pretty much all the kid/teen actors he's actually older- 20 in fact, inching on 21... just a little short and babyfaced, which is why he hasn't graduated to adult/older teen stuff yet.

But yes, not his first con, and he does have some fan crossover with his animation stuff... including some creepier fans but regardless he is all about meeting people. Backstage he's not nearly as loud as his role, and a bit snarkier too. He's been doing this too long to be otherwise]
peacefulwinter: (This is too-!)

Winter Adamas -> Diana Shirayuki

[personal profile] peacefulwinter 2014-03-18 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
(Last one here!)

[Diana is glowing no less than the last time she was here; it was a great experience, and now she's back again and she'll still be around for the next season! She's here in costume again, though not the same one; she's wearing what looks suspiciously like Winter's winter coat, and carrying a well-crafted actual plush toy Raquel in her arms. She suspects, of course, that all the shenanigans of the last four or five months will drum up interest, but...

Eh. Even if she just sat around for the next few months and didn't do anything interesting, she'd be okay with that. She was enjoying herself way too much. She's sitting in the panel smiling all over the place and generally being very, very perky. Her stutter, much like Winter's, is also decreasing rapidly.]
prismaticdestruction: (HUMAN!Flan I don't get it)

Danièle 'Dani' Delacroix (Flandre Scarlet) -> Katrina Lynn

[personal profile] prismaticdestruction 2014-03-18 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
[As a newcomer to the show,little blonde haired, blue eyed Katrina really isn't all that well known just yet. She's not even well known in the acting world either, mostly being cast as a extra in a few movies. She's from a small town in Ohio but seems to be enjoying the show as a whole.

She bright and friendly, willing to answer what she is allowed to answer about Dani. When asked what she feels when she is playing Dani, she responded-]

I like Dani. She's willing to try and reach out to make friends in her own way. She doesn't handle loss well, as you saw when her sister lost her memories and stuff but she's trying to learn. I just hope that she can keep moving forward.

[She's always wearing things just like her character so walking around the con is pretty easy..Until She has to get the wings on for Photo shoots. Complicated harness shenanigans!]
thebalrogslayer: (Smile)

Gabriel West -> William Clayworth

[personal profile] thebalrogslayer 2014-03-18 10:58 am (UTC)(link)
[Not an actor at all, but a London socialite, not unlike the character he plays, Will was picked from a nightclub. It was a surprise to everyone (not least himself) when it turned out that he's a decent actor, or at the least plays Gabriel well. He'd be the first to admit he's no where near as smart as Gabriel though.

He's only nineteen and hasn't lived away from home before. Make up was used to age him for his first couple of months, and to keep his getting younger a secret he was told to keep down low. This is his first proper outing with the cast and he's excited like a child at Christmas.

For the con he has Gabriel's wig on, hiding his own short, red hair, but hasn't bothered to tone down his received pronunciation accent for it. He can also be caught in corners excitedly calling his mummy at times to tell her anything excited.
