"Five Years Later..."
A Good/Bad Ending Meme
Happy First Anniversary, Save the Earth.
Let us celebrate by speculating on where our characters might be in another few anniversaries - pick one or both of the below and do a little babble/blurb - and from there, o' course, freely springboard off of others... or play/thread in the hypothetical scenarios, if you'd like.
Good Ending
Congratulations, Numbers Club - you've fended off the supposed invasion, after a global chase and monster attack and pseudo-political fight one after the other! With the last of the Enemy fleeing and your lot as Earth's heroes, you've got no need to hide yourself any longer - and look how much you've grown in all that time! What have you been up to - and now that you've saved the world, what will you do next?
Bad Ending
...Or you've failed to do any such thing. The alien invasion has succeeded and swarmed over the world. They've overtaken humanity, and the Noble Numbered might be desperately putting up a last-stand defense, hiding their heads, giving in, or on the edge after a string of failures - on a case by case basis. Everyone is bound to react to the apocalypse - and failure to Save the Earth - in different ways.

Miria is by his side in an instant, the sight of Isaac's blood dripping out from his body still a shocking sight. Tears begin to fall down her face once again. Feeling weak, it was all Isaac could do to look Miria in the eye. They had a moment of silent communication, coming to the same horrible confusion.
Thanks to their foolishness... Rakka was going to feel so guilty. As the wound begins to heal itself, Isaac does his best to play it off.
"Well (grrraaag), uh, gee. That (GUH) really smarts..."
"I... hope that won't put a.... a... a... crick in your neck?"
no subject
Of course, that changes as she watches the wound close, and their relatively calm reaction to the whole thing. She'd seen it happen to them so many time in the past; it was impossible to not recognize, and when she finally did, she dropped her gun, the revolver falling to the dirt in front of her.
"O-oh my God... it's... it's really you guys..." The tears were really going now. She'd found two of the people she cared for most, and she shot one of them.
no subject
"And it's you..."
"We...We're so happy to see you again..."
And their own tears start back up again. They're finally together again, after all the chaos and all the suffering... they're together.

"I-I'm so happy t-to see you t-too, guys..." Rakka managed between hiccupping sobs. Her lone wing fluttered a little with each sob. It was so strange, Rakka was sad, but happy at the same time.
"I h-haven't seen y-you guys since.... since I-I don't know how long."
no subject
"T-T-too long..."
"B-but it's okay! C-c-cause w-we're t-t-together again..."
no subject
And she be pretty content to just stay like that, but too many questions were finding their way out.
"Where have you guys been? What have you been doing? Have... you seen anyone else?"
no subject
"All of the place, really."
"We just try to help where we can, you know."
They shake their heads a little. "We know a couple people who are still fighting. A few other guys that went underground..."
"But the others... Raye... Jacuzzi..."
They let the sentence hang in the air, not sure how to answer what they don't know.

"I've been sticking around here and hiding out, haven't seen many other for a while. I do know Julien is still alive, and Octavia too, but... Alan and L, they..."
They had all been too reckless. Rakka had scars that could prove that.
no subject
But they pull themselves together and rest their hands on Rakka's shoulders.
"Things are gonna be better now, you hear?"
"We'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe!"
Hey, remember that pull themselves thing? Not really working out.
no subject
Because what else can she say to such kindness?
"...My, uh, my hideout isn't far from here. Do you guys...?"
no subject
"You have a hideout?"
"That's great!"
"And impressive!"
They wrap her in another quick hug before stepping back. "Lead the way!"

The streets are pretty quiet as they walk, almost even more than usual with the fact that three people had been reunited. The young woman was deep in thought as she walked, her single wing fluttering loosely behind her, in plain view of the two thieves.

Their skips begin to slow as their brains start to put together a variety of information. 1. Rakka was an angel. 2. Angels have wings. 3. Rakka had wings last they saw her. 4. Rakka was missing a wing.
The skipping stops entirely.
"...Say, Rakka?"
"Could we ask you a question?"
no subject
She does glance over her shoulder at them.
"Yeah, shoot."
no subject
"What uh..."
"Happened to your..."
"wing..."

"...A long time ago, I was working with a group of people. We ended up in a fight with the aliens one day." She explained quietly, her voice wavering a little at the memories. "They... they took us by surprise and... we didn't stand a chance."
She frowned, although they wouldn't see it. "I ran and... one of the aliens tried to grab me by my wings... They only got one."
no subject
This is also betrayed by them wrapping Rakka in another hug. At the last second, they position themselves in a way that doesn't constrict or hurt the remaining wing. At least, for the most part.
no subject
"Thanks guys. But it's okay, really. It's not like I could fly anyways."
She makes light of the situation, but it still weighed on her mind at times.
no subject
"S-sure you can!"
"You can do anything you want to, no matter what any aliens say or do, alright?"
no subject
"C-come on, guys. Not here! I literally could never fly anyways and that's okay! Can we please just get to the base now?"
no subject
"A-Alright..."
"We-we'll make sure everything's awesome and safe and comfy there and everything will be great now!"
"Y-yeah!"
