Sho has an advantage simply because he's one of the few people L thinks he can actually learn something from; he's had a lot of experience in areas L's not, and he recognizes that. It makes him very willing to take a more submissive, naive approach to their CR, and showing an ounce of humility is probably good for him in the long run. Eventually things might even out a bit depending on how much Sho thinks he can learn from L as time passes.
