[TEST] DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT

I HONESTLY COULDN'T THINK OF A GOOD PICTURE SO THANKS LAVVY

Here, have the slightly more relevant song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_nLlL1mwKI

Anyway, this is a random scenario test drive meem, since we've had an influx of new potential appers. I am a bit too lazy to make this a proper meem, so you make your own shit up. Here's some inspirational scenarios:

> The Mall. The hell are you doing out in the suburbs, bro? And why is that woman trying so hard to sell you nail polish?
> The Park. MAN IT IS A NICE D-- shit is that a Vermicelli or whatever the monsters are called?
> Arts & Crafts Fair. Cute knit cat cozies! Bad pretzels! YEAH.
> Rainy Day. It's wet and you're stuck at the bus stop. HOW DEGRADING.
> You get an echo while someone else is around. SHIT. PARANOIA TIME.

Or make up your own!

[Claire gives a startled little jump, and then flushes in embarrassment for doing so. She pushes back her hair a little, enough that he can at least see her face-- and the hollow, circular mark on her forehead which, perhaps surprisingly, doesn't look like the ones connected to actual religions-- and stammers,]

Well-- they're not-- I mean, they're kind of awful, aren't they? I mean-- unless you like them. Everyone else seems to.

[She just finds them grotesque, personally, but she doesn't want to offend.]

[Well, Hugo does find it interesting even if he doesn't know exactly what religion it goes to. If anything he is assuming it is some Wiccan branch he's less familiar with since there are so many of them as he knows all too well.]

No, really, I don't like them much. My friends told me I should come because they are just so amazing but I find them awful, especially the dying wolf.

Oh.

[She blinks at him for a beat, as if taken aback by his agreement, but then she manages a string of words without stammering. She even sounds a little indignant, actually.]

Why would anyone even do that? Carve a wolf being stabbed? It looks so cruel, it's not "good art" at all, and it looks like-- like it's some kind of warning or threat.

[And maybe that's affected by the fact that she's getting strong vibes off it about "negotiating", which she doesn't trust one bit.]

[And that's Hugo for you, blunt and to the point. He'll have no issue later telling his friends that it all sucked and he wasn't going to trust their taste in art ever again.]

Then that begs the question of who is the wolf? Are the snakes its enemy or unrelated? Also it is dying, not yet dead, perhaps quick action could save it, or perhaps it is doomed no matter what it does.

That is a lot of possibilities. I don't know which one it is.

[And she sounds disturbed by that. She shifts uncomfortably, and looks the snake she's at up and down before adding some possibilities of her own.]

And what do the snakes mean? Something different? Why is one showing its heart and the other just curled around one? Does it have anything to do with the messages, do you think?

[And apparently she's assuming everyone notices them, the funny pulses and strange thoughts wafting off of the things.]
