Test drive

Scenarios:
> Transportation/travel. You're at an airport or train station, whether to escape or take a tour to a strange-events hotspot, or plain go on an innocent vacation. Mix up your bags or timetables, grab a pre-ride snack, chat up those with the same destination, get or give directions, find yourself receiving an ill-timed item Echo in front of security - whatever you can think up!
> It's raining men vi har paraply It's raining, so seek shelter... Or run into someone because your umbrella is blocking your view, or jump into puddles and get everyone else wetter than they should be.
> Grab a coffee or get a letter You're at work, whatever that is; a coffee shop perhaps, or maybe you work for the FBI or as a kindergarten teacher, or something else entirely. Either way, things happen - maybe you only do your job, but maybe the supernatural suddenly impacts you in ways that you didn't plan on...
> Say - is that one of those superhumans you've spied on the street? Yes, I do believe it is - you've seen them on the news/read about them, that or their looks give them away! Go on and ask questions of them, be it for serious answers or an autograph, depending on who you are.
> ...And it looks like you're a superhuman yourself. Looks like that hollowed-out feeling you got was followed by a mutation, or some strange thing in your brain. How're you going to come to grips with it? Maybe you received something right in the middle of the street, or while riding the bus, at school, or maybe on a date...
> Wildcard/Etc. Make up your own!
Makino Ruki / Rika Nonaka (AU) | Digimon Tamers
[when you're walking through the streets one night, you might catch sight of a red-haired teenager. She doesn't meet your eye, she just walks along, or stands against a lamppost, staring at either the ground or into the distance. She has a pair of headphones on, listening to some kind of music. At her side is a German shepherd, who seems to follow her dutifully.
But in some cases, she isn't just standing there. In these cases, she's trying to break into an expensive looking car. In others, she has broken in, and is currently in the process of hot-wiring it.
In any case, approaching her in either scenario, benign or otherwise, would result in a cold glare, warning you from approach. Her canine companion seems to regard this with some degree of intelligence... and regret.]
You're a superhuman...! Or at least your dog is...
Rika can't believe what she's seeing. One minute... one minute she'd been running from someone who'd caught her trying to pick her pocket, and the next minute, her dog Reina was between them, warding him off with loud barks...
... and the azure-colored fire that was currently sparking from her tail. The otherwise normal german shepherd was using to ward off anyone that got too close, including her pursuer.
Rika quite frankly had no idea what to do. She just stood there, fully realizing what kind of spectacle they were causing. But how did one walk away from something like this?
[ooc - say hello to Rika Nonaka, who is an AU version of Digimon Tamers' Makino Ruki. This one has led a pretty different life, and she's more or less turned out to be a juvenile delinquent.
Her pet is just an idea for the test drive; yes, it's intended to be Renamon, but she hasn't been approved for a combo application. Just consider this an idea for the test drive]

Torin flies over to a nearby streetlamp and perches on top of it. When he decides to speak, it's in a cool baritone.]
You shouldn't do that.
no subject
... only to see a street lamp]
... Where the hell are you?! Show yourself!
no subject
[The parrot peers over the top of that streetlamp.]
no subject
... You're a bird.
[her statement was punctuated by another bark from Rena]
no subject
[He glances at the dog, but he's not bothered. Not like he thinks she'd pose any sort of problem.]
What were you doing with that car?
[And he's got his little scaly arms crossed in a very disapproving fashion.]
no subject
[she may be content to ignore Torin, but she's not content to do this in front of him. She starts walking, snapping her fingers to signal Rena to follow. The German shepherd growls up at Torin before moving to follow her master]

[He's just flying along, following, making sure there will be no further attempted carjackings tonight...]

Sacred Heart, the floating bunny plushy that was just casually floating around Vivian just shook its head. Whatever it was wondering, no one knew, but if Vivian spent more than five seconds thinking about it she would've realized that the bunny never acted this way with her past self.
"Seriously! Get it to stop!"
no subject
Rika was about to point in the direction of said thief... only to realize he was now on the ground, his jacket on fire, while a growling Rena bit at his heels. The man was screaming.
"Woah! Woah! Rena, calm down!"
no subject
"We need to put that fire out quick!" She said, shouting out the obvious, her head bobbing around like crazy as she tried to find anything that could put it out.
... Oh hey, a fire hydrant. That'd be useful. "Bunny! Do that 'make my magic work good thing'!"
Sacred Heart shook his head, before floating around and, well, merging into Vivian's chest. Nothing else happened, no flashy magical girl outfit like she had in the pulses. But that was okay, because this was enough for what she needed to do.
Vivian closed her eyes, trying to keep her heart steady. Her palm opened, a rainbow ball appearing in front of it and growing in size. If only she could charge it faster...
no subject
"Serves you right...!" she exclaimed.
By now, Rena has calmed down, and just growling at the crowd that gathered around them.
no subject
At least, she thought so, until she could tell that the ball was done, and thrust her hand forward. The ball exploded out into a beam of rainbow colored light that slammed into the fire-hydrant. And completely blew off part of the side, sending a lot of water shooting towards the sidewalk.
"Get him in the water!"
Though as soon as she said that, she realized just how much of a crowd was near them. And how unfix-able the fire hydrant was now. At least by her.
...Oops?
no subject
And that girl... just what the hell was wrong with her?!
The red-head grit her teeth and surged forward, bumping into Vivian and trying to make her walk along with her. "Come with me if you want out of this," she said, as she began forcing their way through the crowd.
Of course, Rena barking and snapping did a fairly good job of helping with that as well.
no subject
Thankfully for Rika, Vivian followed after the older girl without a word, her floating bunny plushy not making any move to leave Vivian just yet as they, well, pushed themselves through the crowd. Maybe they'd get lucky and the hydrant destruction wouldn't get all over the news.
Maybe. Hopefully.
... Yeah. No. Vivian was probably completely, and totally in trouble.

[Well, this was an odd thing to see. A broken window on a car, and someone inside doing something with wires.
....Oh dear. What did she just find?]
Uh...
no subject
Ow! God dammit to hell...!
no subject
I'm sorry, but... this car isn't yours. Is it?
no subject
If you're smart, you won't ask stupid questions like that! Get the hell out of here...!
[another bark from Rena punctuated that statement]

The puppy patters over to the shepherd, attracted by the presence of another dog, while Siiri stays back as far as the leash allows her to, not wanting to intrude on the other human's privacy.]
[it okay if we go wildcard on this one? I'll change my reply if you'd rather we did the car robbery]
The german shepherd looks at Floweregg with no small degree of seriousness... or at least, as much as a dog can manage. The puppy may notice that despite looking like a dog, she smells quite distinctly of something else; nothing she'd most likely recognize, but it's definitely not the scent of an actual dog]
sorry, yes, that was the thought!
Her own mistress is, but who knows about the other's?
So she'll try to act more or less like a normal dog as she sits her butt down a few feet away from the other dog and looks up at it expectantly.]
no subject
Deciding to test the waters, she steps forward, and stares intently into Floweregg's eyes to see how she'll react]
no subject
But! Stella told her to stop being scared and stand her ground more, so she'll try doing that. And then take a step forward to sniff at him, because he doesn't really smell normal at all. And all numbered animals that she met so far were really nice...]
no subject
[Rena continues to sniff as well, which results in their snouts bumping into each other. Surprised, the shepherd stumbles back, tripping and flopping onto her hind legs]
