[All Maria wanted to do was go to work. That was all. Just go to work and survive the day again. Her job was lousy and rough enough as it was.

And then the heavens opened up and by the time she reached the closest bar/small cafe/whatever the shop was, she was drenched. From the roots of her blond hair to the soles of her boots.
