 Bad news, everyone: the Gardeners have successfully infected Locke City with...

Tickle Frenzy.

Is there something in the water? The air? Maybe it's just mass hysteria at this point. Either way, characters are prone to both finding themselves compelled to tickle and/or possibly to being especially ticklish on this occasion.

Truly, it's the most nefarious scheme our brave heroes have encountered yet. For today we learn:

WHO IS WEAK?

WHO IS A TICKLE MONSTER?

WHO WILL BE KICKED IN THE FACE?

I'm pretty sure I'd succeed. I'm stronger than I look!

[ Yeah, he's not. ]

[espigeonage]

[The only response is a wide, possibly slightly psychotic grin-

-and, lunging and trying to pick Emery up at the waist and hoist him off the ground. Julien's rather shorter and doesn't weigh much but he's got muscle.]

[abidan]

[ That grin is psychotic, and Emery thinks too late to take a step back, but then Julien's somehow managed to pick him up!? Even the arms around his waist is enough to set him off: Emery laughs loudly, ever the goof, and attempts to reach down to tickle Julien's sides, aiming for the spaces between his ribs that he knows set him off personally. ]

Jule— Julien!

[espigeonage]

[yeah there's a flaw in the plan of throwing Emery over his shoulder, the guy's arms are free. Julien... can't laugh normally anymore, but makes weird panting-sounding exhalation whilst staggering around increasingly off-balance.]

Aaah! I should've- worn armor! No!

[Awkward topple onto a convenient couch or giant beanbag chair or something!]

[abidan]

Armour? Who has armour!

[ No, seriously, who just has armour lying around? Not that it really matters — this clearly means he's winning, and if Julien's odd breathing is anything to go by it's not just by an inch. That, or he's about to have an asthma attack ...

Which is actually a little concerning. When they topple back onto the beanbag, Emery sprawled around Julien, he pauses for a moment to make sure he's not actually dying. ]

Are you all right?

[espigeonage]

Could've borrowed it!

[He lays there a minute, eyes closed, trying and failing to endure stoically, but Emery stopping makes him crack one eye open.]

Come closer...

[so Julien can grab the collar of Em's shirt and keep him close while going for the gut, pant-laughing like an ape. Predictable? Maybe.]

[abidan]

You rotten cheat—

[ Emery flails and squirms and laughs, trying in equal parts to get away and get him right back with tickles of his own. Again, he's mostly aiming for Julien's ribs, since that seemed to be quite effective last time; ]

Absolutely ... rotten ... cheater!

[espigeonage]

Absolutely! Yes! Ghghh-

[His grip loosens as he tries to protect himself but Emery is not getting away that easily - there's Julien's leg trying to hook him and keep him in place. There are advantages to being on the bottom.]

[abidan]

[ Advantages adshmantages — Emery's up on his knees in a second despite the peals of laughter escaping him in bursts, attempting to keep Julien's legs pinned while he goes for the stomach. ]

You're proud! I don't believe it ...

[ But he's laughing again, because this is just ridiculous. ]

[espigeonage]

You've got- reach! I've got moral flexibility!

[Julien tries to flip on his side and escape but there is no escape, is there! He can't even really grab Em, he does have shorter arms. So there's shoving with his toes - not kicking, trying to ward off the hands. There's an obvious downside to that, of course, but maybe his feet smell bad enough to dissuade that?]

[...no, right, he sprayed them down with antistink stuff earlier because Julien hates to smell bad. Whelp.]
