LET'S [test] DRIVING

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN, YOU KNOW THE DRILL. Here's a few options, all stolen shamelessly from previous iterations.

> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU

or make up your own whatever this is basic and just for the purposes of getting a new test drive up.

[The weather definitely didn't mention this rainstorm for today, but here she is, trying to squeeze under the awning of a store with her bicycle, because she can't afford to let it get wet in this torrential downpour. She knows she can't stay here (for one thing, the guy behind the counter is already trying to not-so-subtly shove her away with the door) and so instead she keeps skimming the surroundings, looking for anywhere she could possibly bunker down.]

[ How about the shop next doorish? If she's in Japantown, there's a certain antique shop...and Aria's manning the counter there, and might not mind the bike. At least, if she sees Evelyn outside of the shop looking around with her bike, she'll wave her over.

Aria Megido is also sixteen, and attends Locke High; and hey, she's never been one to turn down someone needing a little help, even if it's just a place to stay dry. ]

[She is 100% okay with this, and crouches over quickly to shield her bike while she runs from store to store. She pops her head inside the shop to say thank you, and to maybe ask if she can bring it inside (the girl looks around her age, even if she's not surprised that she doesn't recognize her from school) but then she sees exactly what sort of shop this is. Well, that's probably the worst place for a bike...]

Ah, thanks, I'll just wait outside.

I don't mind if you bring it in to just the front, really - the space in front of the counter isn't too bad, at least.

[ By which she means there's a clearish area up there with a little sitting area, which might fit the bike. It might also make things a bit cramped, but at least it wouldn't be in too much danger of knocking anything over... ]

Or yeah, propping it up out front. I know it's not much, but...

I can also grab you tea, if you want.

I mean, if you're sure.

[because she really doesn't want to leave it outside, so she's not going to protest too much.]

Tea would be great, thanks, if you're already making it. It should be over soon, these summer storms never last that long.

I'm sure! You don't want it to get wet, after all - that's not good for bikes, or so I've been told.

[ She straightens, hopping off her stool. ]

Oh, we've always got tea on here. Grams has a thing about it - and yeah, hopefully it doesn't. Kinda came out of nowhere, though, right?
