LET'S [test] DRIVING

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN, YOU KNOW THE DRILL. Here's a few options, all stolen shamelessly from previous iterations.
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU
or make up your own whatever this is basic and just for the purposes of getting a new test drive up.
Gendo Ikari | Evangelion
Haha, yeah, no, that's not what's happening here at all. The only reason Gendo's out here at all, eating his lunch at an outdoor table, is because he hadn't bothered to bring a lunch from home (let's face it, he was already out of the house before the sun was even up) and not even he can tolerate vending machine sandwiches forever. Besides, Yui had insisted he try to get some fresh air now and then and she remained the only person in the world he couldn't flatout say no to.
That still didn't mean he couldn't take his work with him and his attention is focused on the open laptop in front of him, issuing orders and reprimands over email. Gendo Ikari's reign of terror never ends. Not even during lunchtime.]

Oh, father...

But right now, Gendo's going to look away from his computer just long enough to reach for his fork when he spots
other kidShinji and stops for a moment. Eye contact is made. The people between them find themselves squirming in sudden awkwardness. Not that Gendo even cares.]Shinji. What are you doing here?
[What do, Shinji. What do.]
no subject
[Looking around awkwardly.]
It's a nice day, isn't it?
no subject
[And he turns his attention back to the computer when a new email comes up.]
Yes, I suppose it is.

She's going to get mad, Dad.
no subject
Hm?
[He glances up at her direction.]
Who is?
no subject
These aren't outdoor activities.
no subject
I'm very busy right now.
[Which is about his standard answer. He never goes into any more detail than that about his work, aside from saying that it's confidential.]
