DAEMON MEME
a DAEMON is an animal that represents your character's soul in some way; the concept originates from Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy.

Daemons are ALMOST ALWAYS the opposite gender of their person, and while their shape reflects their person's personality, they don't always agree with their person. Someone who seems stern might have a stern daemon... or they may have a boisterous one, showing a hidden side to them.
Children who haven't been through puberty have daemons that shapeshift, but they often have favorite forms.
SO
1. POST WITH YOUR CHARACTER.
2. If you know what their Daemon would be, tell us, and explain why! Is their preincarnation daemon any different than their reincarnation's? Why or why not?

4. RP stuff out! This is open to potential applicants as well for them to get a feel for their characters. Daemons are a great way to suss out personality traits.

Right so the loyalty and devotion and reliability point him squarely at DOG, but he's got a bit of a loner streak to him, as well as aggressive overreactions to any even mildly threatening stimuli and some totally non threatening stimuli (ex: pots). So basically he's a dog with attitude problems. He is doge.
Not kiddng, he's a Shiba Inu. They're melodramatic, intelligent dogs that are incredibly loyal provided you can handle training them. They're prone to aggressive outbursts if you can't however, and will probably never be 100% okay with strangers. Also idk I like the idea of Link being a Japanese breed and whatnot. Oh and Shiba's are this nice creamy gold color, which ties into his golden wolf form in TP.
More on the personality side as opposed to the aesthetics, Shibas are often described as very cat-like dogs, tending having independent and almost aloof personalities. This fits in well with Link's solo mentality and his tendency to isolate himself. I could keep going drawing more parallels but I think you probably get the point. Doggy with some not quite so doggy features. He probably settles during the final stretch of being an Adult, and then remains fixed when he returns to being a child, which is pretty surreal and weird for everyone involved.
Of course Luke himself hasn't settled yet, and given what he might or might not go through in STE he could settle as any number of related things. At present his deamon tends to be medium to large furry animals, with occasional birds. They give him something to hold onto or hide behind when he's feeling nervous and it's a bit of a way to compensate for his smaller size and general timidity.
