[All Mai had wanted to do was use her one free day of the week to come to the mall and maybe, possibly pull together enough money to buy some new jeans. The ones she had were slowly growing threadbare and she vaguely hoped she'd trip into a good sale.

All she's managed to trip into though is about a half dozen other people with seemingly the same idea. She's jostled this way and that, a constant litany of 'excuse me' and 'hey watch it! until she finally has enough.

Throwing her hands up in the air in the middle of the crowded plaza, she literally screams out:]

STOP PUSHING ME AROUND ALREADY!

[... Wait, did she say that out loud?]

[[and who should be right next to her trying to avoid being pushed about and get the biggest earful of that? That would be this kid, who started so badly that he fell over.

Yet in order to luck into the sale, she has to deal with the crowd. And dealing with the crowd likely means she won't be able to get anywhere near a sale of any kind.
