shabadoobie touch to [TEST DRIVE]

HERE WE GO AGAIIIIIN
Here's a few options, ganked from the last one and still as shamelessly stolen from even earlier versions.
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU
> Or make up your own
Very nice! Test Strike! FABULOUS!
Killian Ryan | Kili | The Hobbit (largely movie based since...personality) | The Mall
He texts his mother to let her know that he's not getting into any trouble--really, you tag a few walls out of boredom and suddenly you're a criminal even if you were never actually caught--but he'll be late for dinner. Which again sucks, because he knows his mom has been working really hard this week to make dinner particularly special tonight, being their sixth month anniversary of "Staying in One Place", but he has no car and his jacket isn't waterproof enough to risk running in the rain. No bus fare, either, seeing how he gave that to his mom so she could get to work.
Also, he's still kind of weirded out by that freaky feeling he had on his way from the park. He's not even sure what caused it, or why there's a string of numbers playing in his head. Either way, he'd like to shake off the freaky feeling before dinner.
So yeah. A local teenage semi-delinquent (who doesn't go to school and never has) is hanging around the mall. Trying to ignore that Feeling. Poor kid.]

[ Yeaaaah Skyler is here for the exact same reason. Well... sort of? He does have a new Echo that he'd like to ideally test on a pigeon or something, but he had to book it inside the mall instead. Stupid rain. So while he may be here because of an echo, theoretically Skyler should be way more on top of this shit than --
Hey, that's... What's his name? Skyler is coming up from his side, so he's in a good position to catch his face. Yeah, it's that kid. He's seen him after school, hanging out with some of the artsy fartsy rebels that he hung out with. The only thing he knows about him is that he's been tagging up walls all over the city. Skyler considers this for a moment, slowing down. To engage, or not to engage? He's been trying to avoid his old crowd of friends, after all.
... Is this even a question? Skyler figures that this kid is far enough away from his own stupid social circle to actually be sane. And it's been months since he's actually talked to someone his own age without him specifically trying to make them feel shitty about themselves. He's an extrovert, the withdrawal is KILLING him.
So yeah, he'll just lightly check this kid with his elbow as he passes by. This is not an aggressive check. This is a "what's up asshole" check. ]
-- Whoops. Sorry. Didn't recognize you without the spraypaint.

[Killian kind of freaks when the kid elbow checks him, jumping away a little until he realizes that oh, hey, it's that asshole some of the others were talking about missing. He makes a face]
Rain washed it off. What're you doing here?
sounds good to me! :D
Skyler's smile is quick and automatic, his brain reaching for the first thing he can think of. ]
Saving the world, obviously. Don't I look like it? [ Skyler looks pretty soaked and bedraggled, so no. But his hair is AWESOME. Seriously. Touch it. Bone dry and sky high. Awww yeah. ]

[Hey, he's honest.]

I ducked in Cinnabon before they got near me. You could hear them next county over, I swear.

-- You caught me. This is two jars of industrial grade hair glue. [ He is pretty careful not to actually touch his hair because if he does it might become obvious that that shit be soft and supple as a baby's butt. ] This shit practically reflects water and definitely poisoned the Gulf of Mexico.
[ ... Now might be a good time to disengage. He didn't realize that this kid would be so observant. ] What's your name again? Kevin? Julian?
no subject
He makes a face at those names]
Killian. S'Irish.

I'm gonna check on the rain. I don't want to be in the same building as a bunch of Beliebers forever.

[As they bicker, thunder rolls]
...well, I'm not going outside.
no subject
[ ... WELL SHIT. ]
Could just be the thunder. It's gotta let up sometime. [ he says as a second rumble crashes almost right over them. HAHA. ]

If by "sometime" you mean "tomorrow".

sweating intensifiesSkyler sighs and rolls his eyes. ]Wanna hang out? [ Because it'd be weirder trying to avoid him than just biting the bullet and hoping he doesn't blow his cover. ]
