shabadoobie touch to [TEST DRIVE]

HERE WE GO AGAIIIIIN
Here's a few options, ganked from the last one and still as shamelessly stolen from even earlier versions.
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU
> Or make up your own
Very nice! Test Strike! FABULOUS!
Britany Ruff [Rita Mordio] | Tales of Vesperia
[A roughly-dressed teenage girl is attempting to work her way through the crowds - right, it was back to school sale season, so the preppies and such were all trying to spend hundreds of dollars on new fashions.
Britany viewed them with disdain, of course. $100 for a pair of pants that was $4 used at a thrift shop? Who would honestly burn that money when it could go to miniatures, or a better phone, or games, or... Any of a thousand other things that weren't priced at "rip-off" rates.
Of course, the fact that she had to keep all of her purchases in a locker at the teen club in the mall right now didn't encourage her. She was "between homes" again as far as the foster care system was concerned, and that meant very little space where she was staying. Never mind what she was going to do once she was too old to go there.
As she slipped past one crowd towards the local hole-in-the-wall game store - no way she was hitting the national chain unless the exclusives were good - she could be heard muttering something.]
Stupid tourists....
[Option 2: Internet Shenanigans!]
HAH! Another noob bites the dust!
[The local comic/gaming shop staple: Britany Ruff at one of the play tables, ratty old laptop and mouse out, grinning like a maniac as she moved one step closer to victory in her latest PvP match in one or another MMO.]
Those idiots had better get to the flag ramp before respawns. I'm not seeing a quad-kill get wasted again.
[... Especially not when she only had, probably, twenty more minutes before she had to get ready for a different sort of game.]

Something... wrong?
Re: 1
[Rita turns towards the girl]
What'd you say?

[Well, the little girl's not angry... success so far?]

Never mind that you get the real jerks there then, too.

And it does bring the j-jerks out, too. [Unbidden, a certain white-haired boy's face comes to mind; shaking her head, she forces it out.]

Yeah. I have to have a lock on my locker at the club pretty much only for these two weeks of the year. And one time, someone tried to pickpocket the key.
It was fun watching security grab him for that one.

Do you keep anything v-valuable in that locker? Especially... where people can see it?

I feel sorry for mall security on days like this.
