The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

A return of the CR Meme - trying something a tad different this time as a combination of regular CR/Plotting Meme and actively-encouraged Relation-By-Reincarnation (or more plainly pre-game CR) meme, open for both plotting between and with characters currently in-game and pre-hashing things out for ones you've got under consideration or pending - see if you might benefit from setting them up with a running start!

For purposes of organization, there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

Character: Toushirou Hitsugaya

Way too serious kid that gets really defensive if you tell him to stay back and let the grownups handle everything. He's not terribly good at socializing or carrying conversations. Generally, he's of the opinion that most people suck, but he gives individuals a chance. Lives with his grandma, who is in her mid-to-late sixties and sometimes runs errands for her when she's not physically feeling up to it. Secretly a bit of a sword-and-sorcery style fantasy nerd.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: I'm good with his family as is. As for other things, there's always other kids, teachers, and maybe people that work at places where he might be running errands for his grandma that might know him. He also plays soccer, so a coach wouldn't be out of line. He's talented at both school -- he's skipped and is currently in 7th grade despite only being eleven -- and his chosen sport, kind of a standout.

Open/Wanted CR: I'm pretty open as far as CR goes with him. Throw something at me, and we'll see if we can make it work. He's not exactly a social butterfly, this kid.

Other Info: I dunno, I'd kinda like to see his closet nerdiness come out somehow. He keeps it pretty far under the radar -- partly because he doesn't see how it's supposed to be relevant to fighting aliens. Besides that, he's finally got his own sword, so doing sword training would be pretty awesome. I love writing sparring/swordfights.

Once Shiro is out of the hospital, these two need to figure out how shot swords together. I think Mamoru echoed some basic swordsmanship, so maybe he could help??

Toushirou actually got swordsmanship way before he got his sword, so he actually does know how to use one already. That said, he totally needs sparring partners and such. The swords he'd been using before he got Hyourinmaru back have all been western-style: aka the wrong type. So he would feel that he could use the practice with the right weapon.

Great! Shiro needs to learn, haha. He has a white and black asauchi to fight with for now.

Awesome. Hyourinmaru is essentially an asauchi at this point as it is. Zero fancy powers. Just a sharp weapon that's nearly as long as its owner is tall. :D

i was sort of thinking about putting azure in toushirou's direction? she's pretty bubbly and sweet at the moment, but is slowly going to lose her emotions into the future if that isn't your cuppa. otherwise, they're only about three years apart in age and i can see them meshing well intellectually. :) she's a real mother hen!

I love it when people mother-hen this kid. (Heck, her doing that could give him an echo of Hinamori, come to think of it. Especially if she called him Shirou-chan.) Bubbly, cheery girls kind of baffle him and he tends to be a little less of a brat with them.

that was EXACTLY what i was thinking! i will make sure to contrive a situation in which she can call him shirou-chan, i swear i will! :D she will not be put off by his aloofness, and will probably secretly think it's pretty precious. i think this'll be a good match!

is there any way we could run them into each other soon? there's always the tuning towers, or they could just... i don't know, run into each other after school? or during a numbers club gathering?

(also i nearly forgot, but i think that stella and toushirou could also hit it off given a bit of time! they just mutually have to warm up to each other, i think, but i think they can sense that the other has more or less the same attitude towards life.)

Of course aloofness and grumpiness is precious; what else could it be?

He tagged along with the highschool kids to the Tuning Towers already, and since that gave him a vision of the image of the "murder" of Aizen and the feeling that he knew the "dead" guy, he's not in a terrible hurry to go back there. He does show up at Locke High every Monday after school for the numbers club meetings, though. It takes impending alien invasion for this kid to have a social life. That's kind of pathetic.

(The tsuns very slowly hitting it off. :D Toushirou has actually kept up his intention to use voice on the network more often. See what a sensible little human he can be, Stella?)

:o ICly, Azure has no idea that the club exists, but I'm sure that the numbers title would catch her eye. I still don't know if there's a regular log or something, but if we have to make our own just to make this cr happen, I'm down. :D

Well, I'm pretty sure it's not called that ICly. Just something we muns call it. Don't know what the official name actually is, really; I don't think we ever firmly decided. It's not so much a regular log as a periodic one. I'm down with creating a log at the school, though, if we can get one going. Seems the most likely place for them to meet.

(Hitsugaya you are truly a sea of sanity in a world slowly falling apart. As soon as she's big and upright perhaps they could have a friendly spar. :D)
