The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

A return of the CR Meme - trying something a tad different this time as a combination of regular CR/Plotting Meme and actively-encouraged Relation-By-Reincarnation (or more plainly pre-game CR) meme, open for both plotting between and with characters currently in-game and pre-hashing things out for ones you've got under consideration or pending - see if you might benefit from setting them up with a running start!

For purposes of organization, there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

For quite a long time, and he would have just transferred to Locke City around that time, so yes! I can definitely see him getting assigned to look into that, being the new guy and all, so that could have been one of his first cases in the city

So he'd have actually seen this kid with black hair before it faded.

Basic story with the crash, the company that the trucker worked for got sued for skimping on the maintenance that would have prevented the crash. The trucker himself quit the company out of guilt and testified against them, did a lot of community service, paid all of the medical bills despite it being the company's fault the brakes failed. Bakura himself wasn't present for most of it, his grandparents represented the family since he was a real mess. Not too sure how much Nick would be involved with any of those steps, but... The name should stick out if he hears it. Bakura's not exactly a common family name. :)

It'll definitely stick out! Nick's own parents died in a car crash when he was 12, so this would have been a really memorable case for him. Because of that, he probably would have been pretty involved in things, following up and helping out where he could and such. He might've tried to talk with Bakura a bit about it, though I don't know how well that would've been received. XD in any case, he'd definitely have given him his contact info and told him to get in touch if he needed anything

Yeeeaaah, Bakura would have shut him out pretty solidly and hid behind his grandparents. The PTSD hit him really hard and he was very clingy to his grandparents and very grr hiss at everyone else. He might not even remember Nick since he was shutting out everyone by his family at that point.

And ouch, the same age too. Very much would stick out! :) I decided on 2/8/2009 as the date it went down, if that helps. I'm really bad with dates, so... he was 12, his birthday's in September, so I think I counted the years back right :D
