> Cleanup of downtown Locke City still has a ways to go. It looks like that shop you were planning on another trip to this week is closed for the time being. Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.
> Monster encounter! The above or you were robbed (or, for all you could tell, misplaced something) a while ago, and one of the objects you lost seems to have come back to you, if not the way you recognize it. Ayup, getting backup might be a good idea.
> Transportation/travel. You're at an airport or train station, whether to escape or take a tour to a strange-events hotspot, or plain go on an innocent vacation. What do you have there?

[Meg's not really good at minding her own business, nor does she have the greatest attention span. She's basically dropped whatever she was doing to look at what Fuyuka was holding.]

Woah! I-Is that from the monster?!

[a hardened detective being surprised by a child would be embarrassing for someone of that profession. Also, unlikely. And yet, Fuyuka had been so focused on studying the creature's remains, that exact thing ended up occurring, and she looked up with a start.

As such, she stared at Meg for several moments, before replying]

... It seems so. They're everywhere, it seems.

[aibeams]

Ah-! You're right!

[She only notices all the pieces lying around now. She'd been so busy with helping out that she hadn't really looked that closely.]

Woaaaaaah... Real life monster pieces...! Awesome! Really awesome! Don't you think so too?!

I'm more interested in where it came from, to be honest.

[she looks around, and begins thinking aloud]

Witnesses described smaller serpents being created from the creature's shed scales. So they are and they aren't pieces of the larger creature.

[aibeams]

Ooooh, those smaller snakes, right? Yeah, I saw those too! They were pretty freaky!

...I didn't get to see them up close, though. I got dragged away.

[It was for her safety and everything, but she does sound a little disappointed.]

[that causes Fuyuka to recall when she'd been caught in the serpent's rampage. She'd been at a bar. The whole experience had been very disorienting. In any case, she doesn't seem to pick up on the disappointment]

That's good. You weren't in any danger, then?

[aibeams]

Nope. Well, a little bit, I guess, but only for a moment.

But I would've been fine anyway! The Precure would have saved me if I had been in real danger!

[THAT causes her to stop]

"Precure"? [up goes the eybrow] That sounds like the name of a children's anime.

[aibeams]

No way! You know about all those superheroes that showed up, right? They were one of the groups!

You know... The brilliant sun, hot blooded power! Cure Sunny! [She imitates the pose and everything.] Warriors of love and justice, the All Star Precure, you must've heard about them by now!

[Fuyuka crosses her arms]

Multiple people with powers revealed themselves. In any case, I wouldn't call them superheroes.

[aibeams]

Huh? [Aaaaaand she deflates again.] Why not, that's what they are, right?

You know... People with amazing powers, who go around saving people and fighting evil...? What else can they be?

[she frowns]

First off... are you absolutely certain that all of them have everyone's best intentions in mind?

[aibeams]

W-Well...

[Of course, she can't be certain of that. She doesn't know them. She doesn't know any of them.

But still...]

Of course! Heroes always do the right thing!

[Forever optimistic.]

[Fuyuka's expression remained unchanged - serious and grave]

You don't think it's possible that any one of them might be a criminal? Or some kind of predator? That's very naive.

[and blunt as a sack of hammers]

Well, I guess... I can't know that for sure...

But they fought the monster, so they... can't be that bad, can they?

Considering it was a threat to everyone's survival, they could have just been pragmatic, or acting in their own self interest.
