"It'll be alright." He replied, pulling his cell out of his pocket and quickly glancing at the display. "It's just Sylvie. This shouldn't take long." He told Hannah as he answered the phone, while putting a little space between them for privacy's sake. Even though he didn't have any intentions of abandoning the family outing, he couldn't ignore his sister's call. There was always the chance that it might be an emergency after all.

Luckily the voice to greet him on the other was the usual cheerful tone of the woman, who once followed him around like a little duckling in her youth. Though he found he wasn't feeling too particularly happy about the content of the call. His parents were smart in choosing their representative as Lucas could rarely say no to Sylvie. He sighed heavily as he hung up the phone and moved back over to Hannah and Elise.

"Well apparently Brandon is back from his doing his relief work and my parents want to throw him a big welcome home dinner. So I hope you didn't make any plans for tonight." He said with a slight grimace, clearly he wasn't looking forward to being around the entire clan at once. He would have preferred, the call had been work related at this point.
