Post a comment describing a hypothetical meeting between the Save the Earth AU version of your character (IE the one in this game) and the original version (IE the one straight out of the TV show/book/game.) either with a description of their opinions or with an actually written out conversion.

Also, if you like, you can continue by way of tagging other people's posts, and threading out an encounter between your StE AU and their Original Flavor version. Or between your your Original Flavor and their StE AU.

Kurogane would be a bit weirded out by Youou, mostly because of his much easier way of dealing with things. It's not that Youou doesn't have a sense of pride, because he does, but it's so very different that it might take Kurogane a while to get it. Especially with the way he deals with a certain blond's teasing since Youou is pretty comfortable with being almost constantly embarrassed whereas Kurogane still has some issues on that front. I think that there would be a bit of nostalgic feelings considering Youou still has his parents but on the flip side there are all those sisters and Tomoyo is quite enough as it is, thank you very much.

But all in all I think he would be pretty fine with this other version of him and, especially if we're talking post!canon Kurogane, I don't think he'd really envy him of anything really in spite of Youou having had a much easier and happier life. Because with the way Kurogane is, in spite of all the shit that's been thrown at him, there's no place he'd rather be than where he is and he doesn't really believe in having regrets.

So from Kurogane's direction everything is fine. At least until they'd start talking after which everything would go to hell. Mostly because Youou, well...

Youou opinion of Kurogane is that he's a dick. And possibly an abusive one. Who really needs to get a control of his temper because jesus fucking christ not every problem can be solved by BASHING PEOPLE ON THE HEAD OR STABBING THEM THROUGH THE CHEST WITH YOUR SWORD! Maybe he should try communicating once in a while? Since that's a thing that Kurogane seems to forget a bit too often. And he's very sorry about how Kurogane lost his parents, and he can't even begin to imagine what that might feel like, but that is no excuse to mass murder people. Even if they're assassins or whatever.

And he'd have no problem with expressing this, probably using very big and fancy words because let's face it he's a bit more articulate than his older version. And then he'd start on Kurogane's life choices and then things would be going downhill pretty quickly, partly thanks to the fact that they now pretty much share the same temper problems. Depending on how much he knows about Kurogane's behaviour in the beginning of his travels he might also call him out on being a bit of a hypocrite, which I can't see going down well.

Basically they would probably end up shouting abuse at each other until their keepers better halves manages to diffuse the situation somewhat. But, after they've cleared the air a bit about certain stuff, they could probably learn to get along pretty well, with the exception of a few more shouting matches.

Excuse him for a little while as he stares, utterly fascinated. This one looks like a buffer version of his boyfriend, and he's wearing... something. Fay isn't even sure what that's supposed to be. Some kind of armor? On the flip side, Fay is in clothes that actually cover his midriff something fairly stylish but also very pink and white, his hair is slightly shorter than Fai's ever was, and his eyes are a shade off.

"So... I'm gonna be guessing, what with the weird clothes and that great damn sword and the whole energy blast thing that Youou got... that you're some kind of warrior, right? Looking pretty fierce there, I ain't gonna lie." Also there's the accent. Apologies about that.

"Fai? What the hell?" Wait for it. "What's going on?" Actually, this might take a little while. Because even though one might think that Kurogane would have gotten used to seeing other versions of people he knew by now, the sad truth is that he gets just about as surprised and caught off guard every time it happens. And, of course, it doesn't help that this one is an other version of Fai, which is something that has never happened before.

And then there's that name he used. Youou, a name that only princess Tomoyo should know about and still this guy's using it like it's no big thing. Kurogane has been his name for so long that he's never even stopped to consider than other him, born in another world and under different circumstances, might be using that name instead. Still, no matter the reason, the name and that face is putting him on edge. Which is why Fay will have the pleasure of having a face full of ninja within the blink of an eye.

He winces slightly and backs off a few steps, which in itself is a much more genuine reaction than Kurogane would have gotten from Fai, who would probably have attempted even now to hide that slight discomfort behind a smile. But while Fay can be very prone to denying or attempting to stifle his emotions at times, he's not at all used to the elaborate methods of self-preservation that his older self has fashioned for himself.

"Well, I think that you- that is to say, I am a person that you know, but from a different life. And you're another version of my Youou. That seems like the most reasonable explanation, though I appreciate that the word 'reasonable' is a bit of a stretch."

Starscream would think that Chris is a stupid squishy human. Who gives a fuck? If he took five seconds to listen he'd probably go "Okay, you're a marginally intelligent stupid squishy human, now either help me conquer the universe or gtfo" He would be flattered by her fangirling though, and then pissed at the thought that he needs help HE DOESN'T NEED HELP THE UNIVERSE DOESN'T UNDERSTAAAAND HIM HE'S COOL DAMMIT HE DESERVES TO RULE

They'd probably just end up yelling at each other a lot. If they actually bothered talking for longer than fifty seconds, Chris might maybe be able to help Starscream get over his need to own everything, and Starscream might help Chris stop changing careers every five seconds, but it wouldn't happen because they're both arrogant shitheads and wouldn't have time for each other.

"Okay, so this is a bit awkward." Youou doesn't think anyone will blame him for mistaking this person for his boyfriend at the distance he'd been, because even up close they still look eerily alike. "Sorry, it's just that you look very much like someone I... know." There's a light flush on his cheeks even as he smiles, because of all the things he could have called when trying to catch up to this look-alike of course he had to pick 'Hey, Fay. Sweetheart, wait up'.

But they really do look alike, apart from the eyes and the length of their hair, and with those weird clothes the guy's wearing Youou would almost believe that this, somehow, was the persons whose memories Fay resonated with. Or, he would if it wasn't for the fact that this one still had both his eyes while Fay had definitely remembered one them getting eaten. Still... He focuses on his other sense, the strange one that allows him to sense energies, squinting a bit in concentration. Eyes aside, they don't just look the same, they feel the same, in a way that not even identical twins does. Oh well, only one way to find out for sure. "Say, the name Kurogane doesn't happen to mean anything to you?"

"Your Youou? Poor bastard." Which, of course, is supposed to mean that he's actually kind of happy to see that he and Fai end up together in other lives as well, because god knows he can't imagine that man not needing a keeper in any life, but... yeah, communication being a problem is still a bit of a thing. He watches Fay with sharp eyes, used to having to see through a number of layers before getting to the truth and his so far open reactions interests him.

"So you're Fai, huh? Or... Yuui?" The name sits strangely in his mouth, because while he knows it's the name Fai was born with it's not one they ever use and the thought of this person using it feels even weirder than hearing his own true name being used.

Fai on his part is utterly fascinated. This was clearly another versoin of Kurogane, there could be absolutely no doubt about it. He looks more or less the same, definitely feels the same, but he's... polite? It certainly seems that way, although he's not sure he would've believed it unless the evidence wasn't standing right in front of him. And then he asks about Kurogane, and his default smile widens into something a lot more genuine as he nods.

"Oh yes. He's... someone who travels together with me, and a very dear friend." There are a lot of implications there that aren't spoken, that have never needed to be spoken betwenn Fai and Kurogane as such. They know who they are, and what they are to each other, after all. "And I take it that you know someone with my soul in this world, then?"

No, definitely not his Youou by a long shot. I can seem some likenesses, definitely, but this one is a lot coarser, a lot more abrupt, and certainly not as well-mannered. It's strange, in a way, like looking into a mirror and seeing your image winking at you, except it wasn't his image standing there and being slightly off.

"I ain't never even heard those names, sorry." A one-shoulder, offhand shrug. "My friends mostly call me Fay, but that's more like a nickname. My real name's Fenn Forster, and I don't care for it much." He tilts his head a bit, and a small smile creeps over his lips and amusement lights his eyes. "And I have a feeling you're not called Youou Timothy Harrison-Suwa, right?"

Well, that settles it then. He's still not sure what's up with the supposedly eaten eye but everything else is pointing to this person being the one whose life is somehow seeping into theirs.

His smile widens a bit as he mentions the nicknames, because while they still make his temper spike sometimes he's still pretty fond of them. And speaking about temper... the way this guy's smile has become more real, more like the ones he's used to seeing from Fay, at the mentioning of Kurogane's name, Youou still can't help trying to subtly check for any sign of injury or anything else that might indicate the level of violence he'd sensed from the other him.

New!Kotetsu would be pretty much in awe of Old!Kotetsu, because he's basically everything New!Kotetsu wishes he was. But he'd also...feel incredibly shitty about himself because WHOA self-esteem issues and he's clearly a pathetic embarrassment to his old self, right? He would, however, think old!Kotetsu should try to make more time for his kid where he can despite the heroing.

Old!Kotetsu would be pretty sad to know that his reincarnated self was still bullied despite growing up without powers among other normal people, and overall that his other had a more difficult life than his own, but he'd also be glad that new!Kotetsu didn't really have any secrets to keep from his daughter and that they have had a fairly solid relationship. He wouldn't be even remotely as ashamed of New!Kotetsu as New!Kotetsu would expect, because he does good, honest work for the benefit of people, and has been trying his best in a really shitty situation. There would probably be a great deal of headpats pep talks and derpery would abound.

He might put a bit of unnecessary emphasis on his name, but if this was someone with the same soul as Fai then he wasn't going to trust him to get it right. "However, two of the names you mentioned are not exactly unfamiliar to me."
