Post a comment describing a hypothetical meeting between the Save the Earth AU version of your character (IE the one in this game) and the original version (IE the one straight out of the TV show/book/game.) either with a description of their opinions or with an actually written out conversion.

Also, if you like, you can continue by way of tagging other people's posts, and threading out an encounter between your StE AU and their Original Flavor version. Or between your your Original Flavor and their StE AU.

"Okay, so this is a bit awkward." Youou doesn't think anyone will blame him for mistaking this person for his boyfriend at the distance he'd been, because even up close they still look eerily alike. "Sorry, it's just that you look very much like someone I... know." There's a light flush on his cheeks even as he smiles, because of all the things he could have called when trying to catch up to this look-alike of course he had to pick 'Hey, Fay. Sweetheart, wait up'.

But they really do look alike, apart from the eyes and the length of their hair, and with those weird clothes the guy's wearing Youou would almost believe that this, somehow, was the persons whose memories Fay resonated with. Or, he would if it wasn't for the fact that this one still had both his eyes while Fay had definitely remembered one them getting eaten. Still... He focuses on his other sense, the strange one that allows him to sense energies, squinting a bit in concentration. Eyes aside, they don't just look the same, they feel the same, in a way that not even identical twins does. Oh well, only one way to find out for sure. "Say, the name Kurogane doesn't happen to mean anything to you?"

Fai on his part is utterly fascinated. This was clearly another versoin of Kurogane, there could be absolutely no doubt about it. He looks more or less the same, definitely feels the same, but he's... polite? It certainly seems that way, although he's not sure he would've believed it unless the evidence wasn't standing right in front of him. And then he asks about Kurogane, and his default smile widens into something a lot more genuine as he nods.

"Oh yes. He's... someone who travels together with me, and a very dear friend." There are a lot of implications there that aren't spoken, that have never needed to be spoken betwenn Fai and Kurogane as such. They know who they are, and what they are to each other, after all. "And I take it that you know someone with my soul in this world, then?"

Well, that settles it then. He's still not sure what's up with the supposedly eaten eye but everything else is pointing to this person being the one whose life is somehow seeping into theirs.

"Same soul? Is that what it is? Well it certainly explains a lot. And yeah, Fay. Though I'm not sure if that's your name, 'cause I certainly don't go by Kurogane. Unless you count the nicknames, I suppose. My name is Youou. And it's very nice, if a bit weird, to meet you." His smile widens a bit as he mentions the nicknames, because while they still make his temper spike sometimes he's still pretty fond of them. And speaking about temper... the way this guy's smile has become more real, more like the ones he's used to seeing from Fay, at the mentioning of Kurogane's name, Youou still can't help trying to subtly check for any sign of injury or anything else that might indicate the level of violence he'd sensed from the other him.

"Mmm~hm. I't nice to meet you too, though also rather strange." It really is strange, to hear that very familiar voice speak in a way that is so unfamilliar to him, and also to hear that in this world they don't go by the same names at all. "My name is Fai D Flourite, so it's not that far off, I guess." Then his smile widens a bit further, equally in pleasure and amusement. "And should I take that as assurance that I still use funny little nicknames for you? Though judging from your demeanour, I will assume that they don't make you chase the other me around with a sword or similar?"

"You mean the Kuro-whatever-he-happens-to-think-of stuff? Or just pet names? Because both tend to happen, yeah. Though I do my best to keep swords, or any other weapons out of it." He doesn't say anything about the chasing though. Because that does have a tendency to happen occasionally.

"Chasing you with a sword for something as petty as a nickname seems a bit excessive to me. Not to mention dangerous. Aren't you worried you're going to end up hurt one day?" He knows that it's probably rude, not to mention tactless, to just put it out there like that but it's something that's been worrying him for months and he doesn't know how else to do it. He looks genuinely concerned though, and a little bit like a puppy who knows it's done something it shouldn't, so hopefully Fai won't take too much offence.

Fai blinks in completely unfeigned surprise at first, because he definitely hadn't expected something like that. But he wouldn't be Fai if he couldn't read quite a lot out of a statement like that, and perhaps even more out of that mix of concern and guilt. His smile softens a bit, and he shakes his head.

"Kuro-pon knows he won't be able to catch me unless I want him to." He laughs quietly, fondly. "And even if he did, he wouldn't ever hurt me. The purpose is to chase and threaten and wave things about, not to actually do anything more than that." He shrugs a bit. "It's true that sometimes he's really gotten angry with me, but most of the time he just keeps losing his temper because that's how he is."

Fai doesn't seem very bothered by his question and there's no sign on discomfort at the idea and the relief Youou feels shines through as he smiles brightly in response. "That's good to hear. I've been... worried." At least hearing this gives him a bit more hope that the instinct to not actually harm Fay didn't solely come from him. "So you're just as slippery as Fay, then? I can never catch him either unless he lets me." And there's that faint blush again. "Of course having vampire speed powers doesn't hurt."

But maybe they shouldn't keep on talking about those kind of things right out in the open, even if the risk of being discovered was pretty low. "By the way, would you like some tea? Or coffee? Or, I don't know, a beer? I live pretty close by and I thought that might be nicer than standing out here."

For a moment Youou will just have to put up with Fai staring at him as if he's grown an extra head, and then he'll just... fold up laughing for a little while. Do excuse him. "Oh my! You certainly are more than a bit different than him. Yes, tea would be lovely, as a matter of fact."

He'll just take the liberty of taking Youou's arm, no big deal, right? And now once the shock has faded a bit, he frowns as some other piece of information finally is digested. "So you're saying that I- that is to say, that he is a vampire in this life as well? I wouldn't have expected that - but then again, I suppose I don't know that much about that sort of thing."

Did he say something funny? Youou is just going to stand there and look confused while Fai laughs, not really knowing what he did to set it off. Oh well, whatever it was it couldn't have been bad. "Why, does he have something against beer? Or is it tea he disapproves of?"

If feels a bit weird, having someone who's definitely not Fay but who feels exactly like him holding his arm, but he doesn't see any harm in it. Besides, his mother raised him to be a gentleman, so where Kurogane would probably stiffen, bristle and try to take his arm back, Youou's just going to gently lead Fai in the direction of his apartment. "And yeah, since a few month back. Scared the crap out of me when it happened. The whole process looked like it was pretty painful." He gives Fai a sympathetic look, knowing that he's had to have gone through the same thing at some point. "Of course it didn't help that we had no idea what was going on. Feeding was a bit messy for a while there."

"Oh no, it's not like that." He smiles and walks happily along next to him. "It's just that you're so very... well, polite. Polite and considerate. My Kuro-chi is a little bit less polished, you could say." That is a huge understatement, but he has a feeling that Youou will pick up on it, so he doesn't really have to say more than that.

Mind, that does concern him more than he likes to let on, which might be visible in how his smile flickers just a little bit, and his eyes narrow for just a short moment. "Ah, so... am I to take it, then, that he became a vampire... because I am one?" He has never heard of anything like that being transferred from one life to another. "And he's still dependent on your blood, then?"

He chuckles. From what he remembers of the guy 'polite' would not be a word he'd use to describe him. Rude and brutish perhaps but not polite. Or considerate for that manner. But he did seem to care deeply for Fai, and Youou remember him risking great injury to save that girl, and there had to be some good qualities to him in order to make Fai so very fond of him. "More of a diamond in the rough, huh?"

"That's what we figure, yeah. Just like my ability to demolish the kitchen while copping vegetables probably have something to do with your Kuro-min. There's a whole network of us who're having similar experiences, all somehow in possession of a number that allows us to communicate with each other. It's all very weird and conspiracy theory like." His smile widens to a boyish grin as he uses the nickname with audible relish. If he has to deal with Kurogane's anger at something so silly then dammit he's going to what he can to get even. "And yes, he feeds from me. As far as I know he hasn't actually tried with anyone else, but he seemed to just know from the beginning that it had to be me and no one else. Is there a reason for that?"

"Something like that, yes. He's very caring and sweet really, but he- he's never really learned how to express himself without being... very direct. He doesn't really see the point." And yes, there is definitely a lot of fondness and love in his words as he speaks, looking quietly amused and also, very clearly, happy. He's found his place in the world, after all.

"And that is... very interesting. While we're of course aware of other versions of the same souls existing in different universes, the rule is generally that they have completely different lives and no memories of their lives before this. So it's... well, it's honestly a bit worrying to hear about such a thing." Especially since these people seem to be direct incarnations of themselves, to judge from what Youou is saying. "But yes, if he has inherited my vampirism, then he should only be able to take blood from you. Kuro-tan was the one who made me a vampire by feeding me blood from a vampire and his own blood, you see. That means he is bound to me as my Game, and his blood is the only blood I can feed off."
