The Save The Earth Fandom Theories and Opinions Meme
Since we haven't touched on the Meta Fandom in a while I figured we could give this a shot.
You know how lots of fandoms like to make up all kinds of wild theories about the shows they watch and the various story arcs, especially the personal arcs of their favorite characters. They also have various thoughts and opinions about those characters that might influence those theories. Well, then, what do you think are the most common opinions the fanbase has about your characters? What are the most popular theories about them, their past lives and the possible future directions the story will take them? Post in the comments giving me your answer.
You're also free to comment on other people's posts to talk more about character relationship opinions and the like. Because shipping is the life blood of fandom, and there would much talk about that too.
Bonus points if you can think of anything about what the fandom thinks of the show and plot in general, though it's probably easier to just talk about our characters really. XD;

Absolutely none of them suspect that in his past life, he ALSO worked at McDonald's. The very worst atrocity of them all.

They're also torn between whether she's a bitch or a low grade tsundere. And a few people are a little wary of how soon she's gotten back a useful power, but since it's not as flashy as what Sanae got in the same scene, it's probably a little over shadowed by that.
People might also be shipping her with both Sanae and Marisa already, but there isn't enough interaction between them yet for either of these to be popular ships.
There might be people who are wrongly seeing potential Belligerent Sexual Tension between her and Jovan.no subject

Theories about the show/game as a whole

1: Angela and Shou are totally gonna bone.
2: Angela is just a horrible no good bitch who kicks puppies.
Some people fall into both camps.

As for shipping disputes, some people want to see Nick and Xander back together, others would like to see him with Ravindra, Ray or Zelos. Then there's a small group who seem to adore the 'big brother instinct' that has been shown to a few younger characters.

Story wise, half the fandom totally expects something bad to happen to his mom. There's also bets that he's going to wind up being a bad guy.

He gets shipped with a lot of people. There's still a dedicated Aarlien fanbase which keeps on keeping on, and they still explode with excitement whenever Julien mentions him, as he's done fairly regularly. And they get into ship wars with other fen, but really there's no following quite as strong as that one.
Julien's usual portrayal has changed a little over the months. He's still pretty variable, he's often the self-insert or goes along with everything, but fandom has caught on to the spy skills. So there's a degree of works where he is some kind of badass and Neo-ish, and does parkour. Naturally he wears a lot of black in those.
The pigeon hospital thing is a sign of saintliness, though, and a lot of his portrayal has become extremely softhearted. So the weepy, endlessly caring version is rising.

Since the reveal of her preincarnation's home world, coupled with the fact that she's the only reincarnate from it, some parts of fandom has begun speculating that she was involved in or directly responsible for the destruction of the planet. "God of Destruction" Vanessa is on the rise among fans.
Helping matters along is the fact that Kristin, Vanessa's actress, has become a bit of a fandom troll recently. Not long ago she tweeted an article speculating on Scadrial's fate and commented "This guy's on to something."

Thomas's efforts to get Hajime a date was clearly a bit of misdirection on both their parts in fandom's eyes. The shippers here are very enthusiastic, especially after Hajime almost killed Thomas that one time. Hurt/comfort fics are a very definite thing here. Hajime and Shou at the Halloween party are a very popular topic for fanart. Some suspect that happened just to appease the shippers.
Fandom is also convinced there has to be some sort of connection between the cards and monsters that both Hajime and Bakura are remembering, but what? Most of the more serious theories focus on this.

I should probably be sorry
That he talks to the silverfish in addition to other fish is confusing and not fitting in quite as neatly with the rest of their fan theories, in part because they're overthinking it and finding Arthur's "a fish is a fish, even if it's a bug" explanation a bit too simplistic. There's a popular theory that Arthur is actually eventually going to get the ability to communicate with all animals, and possibly to become them as well. This hasn't been helped out by Arthur's actor tweeting something about bats being involved in Arthur's arc later on. It has, however, led to an flurry of fic where Arthur is having misadventures with Batlex.
Some fans are absolutely convinced that there are IMPORTANT SECRETS hidden within the mystery that is Arthur's tattoo. Fans will sit there and argue for hours on what the three mermaid wolves REALLY MEAN. There is one big, long, convoluted, 100,000 word fic called "The Moon of the Moon of my Immortal Heart" that goes into loving detail of the few months over which Arthur got his tattoo
not unlike that one episode of Lost that goes on about Jack's tattoo. It's full of horrible melodrama, Arthur being a brooding young guitarist full of angst, and the most sue-like heroine possible. It's riddled with spelling errors and inconsistent details, and it ends with the sue pregnant with Arthur's baby but leaving for a "small European country called Parislondonistan" because there was a surprise reveal that she was actually that country's long-lost half-dragon, half-elf, half-weretiger princess. No one is sure if it is a trollfic or a legitimate production by some thirteen year old somewhere, but it actually has a small fanbase of its own. They're quick to whine about roleplayers and other fic writers not treating the fic as canon despite all its glaring problems, and they're ignored by fans with any sort of sense. Mocking this fic is a popular pastime among the more reasonable fans, and there are many YouTube videos devoted to dramatic readings.Arthur's Party Bus is an endless source of amusement for the fans, and it too has sparked no end of fanfic and fanart. Road trip stories are very common, even if the fans seem to forget that everyone will forget everything when they leave the city so that the fic may go on. There's a popular subgenre in which Arthur drags someone, usually a reluctant Wheatley or a humanized Cinderella, to Vegas. Many of them end up in marriages officiated by an Elvis impersonator. Sometimes, the Party Bus returns to Locke full of showgirls, glitter, and white mermaid tigers.

If a character has sought him out for therapy, that character has been shipped with him. Because fandom.

A majority seems to think that Isaac was responsible for the boy's death and was manipulating Miria to commit crimes before and after the event. It's a popular fan theory that Isaac will suddenly become an evil jerk and Miria an innocent victim. Many treat this has a horrible tragedy that will affect the Dians' buddies, while a small minority think Miria can be shipped with others because of it.
People also think the Dians stumbled upon something really important in their world. They use the Comic-con trailers as evidence, noting the blood red goo and Isaac's mysterious reveal.
Which I will probably get to eventually.Still, an optimistic bunch think the other characters are right and there is a completely normal reason for what was in their past. These consider the Dians to be in a Reincarnated Romance. Which is awesome.

Most of the Bakura/Hajime shippers just hate him, viewing him as in the way and purposefully being a dick to Bakura to get in the way. Some just view him as a thirdwheel, this being mostly after him being helpful during the Dead District visit.
Those that are speculating, with the appearance of his car, the memories of it transforming, and the superhero action figure, have gone into overdrive. The most popular idea is to tie him into Hajime and Bakura, as a hero that exists in whatever monster world they're from. Most tend to just gloss over the tonal difference between his situation and theirs.

He also made sure a fan picture of him bro-hugging Thomas's actor got around to fuel the shipping fights as well.
God I love this meme
The meta game in this game is awesome :D

Hell, with how friendly and forwards she is, there are probably fans of just about any ship with Marisa. Bakura, Reimu, Tavia, Alex, and just about anyone else she is friends with.
