OH AVERY. you are such a strange, strange fixture in kotetsu's life.

he doesn't really know how to feel about her, honestly. she drives him absolutely crazy and kind of drags out the worst sides of him that are childishly competitive and stubborn and they get in these contests of will and he has a hard time backing down even though he's the adult and she's a teenager. but then they occasionally get into more serious things and kotetsu like, has a lot of baggage about those things? like whenever she reminds him about how the cops are generally fucking corrupt it sets him the hell off bc he can't even deny it with what he knows when he's believed in the law and the system for so long.

it's kind of hard to say whether he DISlikes her really. it's more of a ARGHHFGHFJFJG GOD WAS I REALLY THIS INFURIATING AT HER AGE and knowing for the most part that yes, he probably was, but being easily baited by her anyway. SO LIKE, basically she's not his favorite person in the universe but he doesn't hate her and probably if she asked him for help with even a non-network thing he would do what he can because that's just how he is with people.

okay so like, the thing with shou is that kotetsu hasn't really formed much of an impression of him personally? like when he thinks about him it's mostly 'that guy who answered when he got stuck in the ladies' room' and 'that guy i accidentally drunk-texted'? he thinks it was pretty cool of him to just deal with his drunken self and even offer to drive him home (even if he turned it down) rather than getting annoyed or ignoring him or whatever. plus he was helping with that whole riku rescue thing so overall kotetsu thinks he's a good guy but yeah, doesn't really know much about him

but UM SO FAR everything is awkward and everything hurts?? LMFAO. idk if i'll do it the next plot echo or later but eventually as he starts spending more time with le Bunbuns, Kotetsu's gonna notice that the "someone important is missing" feeling that's been nagging at his mind for months has faded since starting to hang out with Bunny and eventually get echo confirmation of him being the missing person. i'm not really sure what he'll think of that straightaway, but i think it might be something of a comfort to him ultimately? bc he's a pretty fucking lonely guy and it'll be nice to have someone to share echo fuckery with (though he'll probably still hide shit because LOL he's Kotetsu).

UHHHH idk how that voicemail will turn out but he's still kind of being hard on himself about the trigger thing and worrying about accidentally triggering him again at some point because hey, his line of work generally deals with a lot of unpleasant shit. he thinks barnaby is a nice kid, overall? he's still kind of uncomfy because of said trigger thing but he definitely likes barnaby and would like to get to know him
