Julien is probably the person he's most forthcoming to, but even then he holds back a bit, because he's in the mindset of "we all have problems but everyone else's are definitely worse than mine, so I should keep quiet." Not to mention even with recent memory revelations, it still feels too arrogant to identify his past self as an angel.

He definitely fusses and appreciates the fussing in return, even if he's bad at accepting it. He worries that Julien puts on a brave face (nice and hypocritical) but not because he can see through the smiling or anything...he just has a hard time believing anyone can handle this stuff and still be so...perky. But since Jules is, he tries to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Overall, though, he's a judgment-free zone. Ironically this is why he struggled with his faith, but now it's smacking him in the face again like a ton of bricks filled with a new kind of doubt, but regardless. He wants to be someone dependable that people, especially Jules, can look to if they're having a rough time.

Aaah, poor Emmanuel! Julien would be mildly in favor of telling someone, but he'd be kind of taken aback if he was the someone. ...He's always kind of startled to find out that someone trusts or cares about him.
