rules are fairly straightforward but:

Sara being periodically awful at Marisa is largely an obligation thing. She was an only child, so she's playing catch-up at all the sibling rivalry she didn't have growing up.

Aside from all the usual familial affection, Sara is a wee bit worried that Marisa's going to blow herself up with a huge magical laser or something. Being a reckless teen is fine and dandy but there's kind of an alien invasion going on and someone's going to get hurt, and it's probably going to be one of the reckless teens.
