rules are fairly straightforward but:

Bakura is probably Marisa's best friend in Locke City (and thus, tragically, her best friend anywhere). He lacks that certain edginess that Marisa sees in most people but not in herself, which most other people would call "self restraint". Bakura doesn't take most things too seriously, if possibly for different reasons than Marisa, and he gets her jokes. The video game high score wars was basically just a side thing for her.

She's kind of regretting the whole Plan Fake Boyfriend. People expect her to act WAAAAY clingier than she feels comfortable with, especially for someone who she has zero actual romantic interest in, and of course there has been some backlash from those who think she's not good enough for him. Possibly most importantly, though, she's got a bit of a crush on Alex, but can't make a move on him while she's maintaining the charade. She might not make a move even if she wasn't involved with Bakura this way, but it's still a bit of a sore point.

She's a little worried about Bakura after his outburst where he stormed from the school. He's clearly got a lot of anger in him, and anger makes you make stupid decisions. They can't afford stupid decisions right now, what with the aliens and shit making their life miserable. And of course it PROBABLY isn't great for his academic future to just quit high school part way through his senior year. Calm down dude.
