TEST DRIVE MEME

> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!

[Leon Rugria runs a local shelter/halfway house specializing in at risk/runaway teens- largely due to his own unhappy past. Or he DID run it. For the past year it's been in other hands while he was out of town. It's rumored it was while he sobered up.

Now that he's back he's returned to his old position- like his past self he has a bad habit of looking for the best in people... even if he's not as naive and a lot more foul mouthed]

[Action]

[Oh... it's raining. Hard. Leon is looming under the House's awning in a battered hoodie. Weather like this is when the most kids end up needing a bed and something hot to eat. The young man is smoking, using the little death stick to keep warm- and as a lure. Plenty of people will ask to bum a smoke even if they're unwilling to ask for more]

[Network]

...

Is it normal to come back into town and suddenly know how to use a sword? Of course it damn well couldn't be something *useful*, no one uses goddamned swords anymore.

Yes.

Or rather, it seems to be normal for "us". Kind of archaic, but fascinating in its own way.
