TEST DRIVE MEME
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!

Cerise 'Cherry' Bellefleur - Tsubomi Hanasaki | Heartcatch Precure
[Are you wandering the halls of Locke City High School? Then you may just bump into Cherry, carrying a truly ridiculous amount of book, balanced very dangerously on top of each other. Some of them are for school, but a few of them are her own, mostly books on plants.]
Wah!
[Oh, and when I say bump into? Yeah. I mean that literally. The girl can't really see in front of her very well, so she'll bump right into you and fall over. With the books flying everywhere.
There is a lesson in here somewhere, probably.]
B
[After school, Cherry is the number one employee at the local flower store
which is currently not named. In that she's the only employee there at the moment, actually. The usual cashier has taken a sick day, so Cherry is at the counter working, rather than sorting in the back and doing odd jobs. She's very quiet, staring at the floor. When someone comes in, she'll speak up instantly though. Albeit... a little quiet than she probably should.]
Um... Welcome, do you need any help maybe?
B;
[He's sitting on the floor at the counter, his young voice coming from the below.
Can she even see him?Jamie is now playing something new, yeah another title fresh from Japan on his 3DS. TinyMon in his backpack in case of emergency.]Re: B;
[Though she answers, she trails off as she realizes she doesn't actually know who is speaking up right now. It... couldn't be a ghost, could it? Oh no, oh god, she was not prepared for thi- oh no wait, he was just sitting on the floor, that makes a lot more sense.
For a few moments of awkward silence, she doesn't say anything. She... really doesn't even want to talk to this kid, at all. But maybe if she talks to him other customers will ignore her for all but the most important questions, which would make her life a lot easier. So walking around the counter is and leaning down a little to get a better look at his game it is.]
What are you playing?
no subject
I got TinyMon though, is that why you asked? [Another soul looking for mons, typical.]
A
Colliding straight into her, no amount of generally good athleticism or reflexes were able to stop her from getting sprawled out right on the floor.]
no subject
O-Ow...
[Setting aside a book that had landed open on her face, she sat up and rubbed her head... before noticing Lily. She just about managed to suppress a panicked squeak from coming out.]
Oh no... I'm... I'm very sorry about that.
no subject
It really was an awful lot of books.]
Oh, dear...
[She glanced at Cherry, and blinked a bit. She gave a long sigh, and started to reach for one of the books scattered about around them.]
Are you all right?
You should really have gotten someone to help you if you were trying to carry that much at once...
no subject
The aftermath was worse. She could have simply passed by this girl if she'd watched where she was going, maybe not gone around the corner so sharply. Now she had to talk to her. There was no way around it
Nervously, she began quickly collecting her books, eager to get this over with.]
I'm fine. And it's alright, I... should have just watched where I was going. I'll be more careful.
no subject
Well, yes, but...
[She gave a light smile, and shook her head.]
I guess it doesn't matter, now. It's fine, really.
I can help you get them wherever you were going, if you'd like.
no subject
Ah, um... [Oh crap, oh crap, not what she wanted. You can do this Cherry, just think of a reason why this wouldn't work.] I suppose... [THINK OF SOMETHING THINK OF SOMETHING] ...I don't see why not?
[...damn it.]
no subject
[Lily stood up, comfortably holding her pile of books in a far more manageable manner than Cherry had been attempting. She then took a moment to actually peer at the books, and glanced back to the younger girl.]
You like to read, do you?
no subject
A... little, I guess. [While Cherry was getting very skilled at not showing how nervous she was on her face, she did hold her stack of books closer to her. It was a nervous gesture she didn't really notice herself.] ...I like reading about all kinds of things. But plants especially.
no subject
[She gives a small, wistful laugh.]
Even named my sister and I after flowers...
no subject
[That slips out a little more excitedly than she wanted it to. She can't help but blush a little, but she recovers quickly.]
My grandmother... she was a botanist as well, actually. So I've always loved flowers ever since I was little.
Um... what is your name, then? If it's okay to ask, I mean.
no subject
Lily. My sister is Jasmine, if you were curious.
[Lily tipped her head to one side, noting her reaction with a slight bit of amusement.]
So I guess that leaves me to ask what yours is.
no subject
[Whoops don't mind Cherry, her inner geek is just showing. When she realizes, she trails off and looks a little embarrassed.]
They're very nice names, I mean.
[Smooth.]
My name is Cerise. But... Cherry is fine too. That's what everyone uses.
no subject
Giving a somewhat sad smile, she went on.]
That's a very nice name, as well. Both of them, I suppose I should say.
Is your family French?
no subject
[She does appreciate the words, but her answer comes out rather quietly. She's not so good with compliments, sadly. They made her feel awkward.]
Yes, that's right. My mother is French and my father is half-French... I was born in France, but we moved to America when I was really little, so I don't really remember anything.
no subject
[She paused, glancing around them. She realized she'd just been following Cherry and talking, not paying much mind to their direction.]
Where are we headed, anyhow?
no subject
[She paused as Lily did, shuffling on her feet awkwardly as she clung to her books.]
Just to my locker. It's not much farther. I have to put away some of these and then return the rest to the library. [Wait, did she phrase that weirdly? Oh god she hopes not.] I-I can handle that part on my own, obviously...
no subject
It should be an upperclassman's responsibility to help out, right?
[She said this knowing it doesn't always really work out that way, but one could say she's just a little idealistic.]
no subject
No, it's really fine. I mean, I wouldn't want to bother you and I can really handle it myself. I'm, um... used to it and all.
no subject
It's really no problem. I'm pretty free for the moment.
[She then blinked a tad. She didn't really like the sound of that "used to it" part.]
...you know what, in fact, I will help you over there.
