Questions Meme

This is a meme in which you TALK FOREVER. How it goes:

1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.
4. This goes back and forth indefinitely until someone gets tired and can't reply anymore.
5. Have a lot of fun! ♥

This game is a fun way to get to talk to people, headcanon, and learn things you didn't know before! Because it involves gives and take, it can go quite a while and everyone can participate and possibly make friends.

Here is an example.

Are there any writers in her genre of work who Rachel has the view of definitely respecting but really not particularly liking?

ooooh fun

I think George R.R. Martin is probably one. She respects him as a matter of professional courtesy, especially given his success (and burning bridges is never a good idea), but she isn't too fond of (not?-)ASOIAF. If they were to meet, I doubt she'd be left with much to say about him.

(Also, to her mind he represents the old guard of SF/F writers. As long as dudes like him are the big prominent ones, she feels like she's going to have an even harder time being taken seriously.)

Beyond that, I think Stephen King is The Big One for her. She respects his work ethic + his effect on modern genre fiction, and probably likes a decent chunk of his work. Hell, On Writing was a big help to her when she was getting started and it still has a spot in her study. But she considers him to be very uneven, and more than occasionally weird in a very jarring and uncomfortable way. And if I'm being honest, she's still mad about how The Dark Tower ended up being handled. Noooot her favorite moment of reading back in high school. She's definitely of two minds regarding him, but the end result is that she's very unimpressed.

Also she just never liked C.S. Lewis, even if his role in fantasy was massive. I could name more, but anyway.

Does Anthony have any favorite movies?
