Questions Meme

This is a meme in which you TALK FOREVER. How it goes:

1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.
4. This goes back and forth indefinitely until someone gets tired and can't reply anymore.
5. Have a lot of fun! ♥

This game is a fun way to get to talk to people, headcanon, and learn things you didn't know before! Because it involves gives and take, it can go quite a while and everyone can participate and possibly make friends.

Here is an example.

For Axel, I had a basic outline of his life that I wanted to work with: an AU where he was a very successful actor who decided to become a director. Since there'd be no reason for that particular AU to stay in Locke City, I removed the success, and stuck him as a struggling actor. (The acting part itself was born from how much Axel acts in canon, especially in Chain of Memories.) Then, it was a matter of figuring out where his life took him. If he never had friends, how many people would he trample as he fought for his own agenda? If he only cared about what he could get in life, how emotionally stunted or shallow would he become? How bitter would his failures make him? What I ended up with was ... basically a sociopath. He's arguably even less redeemable than he was in his previous life; after all, most (if not all) of canon!Axel's betrayals were driven by his (sometimes twisted) loyalty to his friends — something that reincarnated Axel absolutely lacks.

... To answer your actual question: I had the basic differences in Axel's personality worked out when I began. The rest came as I shaped his background.

ALISTAIR, on the other hand, was a very different story. I built his background first, and I tried my best to make it a plausible modern-day reflection of his preincarnation's (pre and early Origins) story. His time in the Chantry was replaced by after-school activities and football. The Grey Wardens were replaced by special operations — specifically Pararescue, because they're who's called when spec ops needs rescuing. The defeat at Ostagar became the mission in which his team was captured, and he was the only survivor. The differences came primarily from the people who weren't there: namely, Duncan and the Warden. So, for Alistair, it was background first, differences second.

YOUR TURN!
