Questions Meme
This is a meme in which you TALK FOREVER. How it goes:
1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.
4. This goes back and forth indefinitely until someone gets tired and can't reply anymore.
5. Have a lot of fun! ♥
This game is a fun way to get to talk to people, headcanon, and learn things you didn't know before! Because it involves gives and take, it can go quite a while and everyone can participate and possibly make friends.
Here is an example.

Oooh gosh gosh yes. Most of his buddies don't know that he's actually a certified lifeguard and does counselor shit at the local summer camp... which is ok until you realize that he actually prefers it out there to hanging out with his friends! 'Cause kids only judge you if you're being a DICK and Skyler makes it a point to not be a dick to little kids. If they're his age, though, it's open season. Coming in at a c l o s e second is the fact that he's willingly done dress-up and tea party sessions with his little sister and will probably take her to a 1d concert or some sort of equivalent in the future. You do not even realize how deep he cares for his brat little sister. *^* Again, he much prefers this to the company of his friends!
High point in Axel's life as of thus far?

and that is so adorable. best big bro, srsly. *^*
HMMMM high point of axel's life.... GOOD QUESTION. :|a it was probably when he first got the news that the pilot he'd been in had been picked up by a network. he was doing well in new york, making good contacts and being noticed by the right people. he was actually on track to end up on broadway. he did the pilot not really expecting anything to come of it: the show was called "A Single Potato," after all — which made sense in the context of the show, but come on. he was shocked to hear that it was actually picked up by a network, but he was extremely excited about it. being on tv would open new doors, and he was honestly thrilled with it. he felt like, after all the hard work he'd put in, his career was finally taking off.
THEN IT WAS CANCELLED AND HIS LIFE SUCKED but for that moment!!! it was awesome.
who are the people in sora's life that have had the biggest influence in making him who he is today?

D: i'm sorry axel, you are probably the face of the next generation, not this one
Oh, man... Probably his former friends to be honest? Because you and I both know Sora - really trusting of his friends, really willing to get lead around by the nose (for better or for worse) (smh at Sora in 3D) (oh my god), really unwilling to let someone go without helping them. Unfortunately, a lot of his friends in this universe took advantage of all of that and of the fact that he's pretty decent muscle and pressured him into doing a lot of shitty things. It's gotten to the point that he hasn't really learned how to have fun outside of making other people miserable and acts of juvenile delinquency and going to wild parties... He doesn't WANT to hang out with them anymore (mostly because his rep was making it hard for his little sister to make friends deep sighing), but it's kind of them or no one at this point (and it was a LOT of them - his social network was actually pretty big!), and he only recently made a choice to make it no one. He's never had a Riku or a Kairi in his life and this is what happened. UoU
Same question for Axel!

his older brother also had a big impact on him, in terms of what he decided to do with his life. his brother is a well-respected doctor, and their little sister is following in his footsteps. axel gets along with his brother just fine, but he looked at the way his brother's life turned out — and the way their parents just love their doctor-son — and said 'fuck that.' the rivalry helped him to go off in his own direction: to do things in his own way.
... hasn't really worked out so far, but there you go.
three defining moments of skyler's life?
no subject
1. When he was 9, his family packed up and went to the Philippines for the summer to see his dad's side of the family! They spent most of their time in Manila and exploring northern Luzon (but didn't go towards Visayas because there is literally a city called Roxas City southaways and I don't even want to comprehend the irony), and Skyler looks back on the memories pretty fondly. That was the last big family vacation they had before the economy went under and both his parents lost their jobs. :( He kind of associates the Philippines and the island atmosphere with family and paradise. He's Facebook friends with most of his Filipino family, and that's partially why his Tagalog is a lot better than a lot of Pinoys his age, but he's dropped out of touch with them over the past few years.
2. When he was 10, his mom pulled both him and his older brother aside to explain that they had to start taking care of themselves since both parents had lost their jobs and they wouldn't be around as much. Skyler, being the shitty little butt he is, started whining about he didn't want to do that and he DEFINITELY didn't want to take care of Arielle, since Skyler was the baby of the family before Ari came a long and he was still mad jealous, but his mom shut that shit down hard and told him that, among everything else Milo and Skyler had to do now that the parents were around less, Ari was his responsibility now. Even though she sort of meant it as a blanket statement for both of them, since Milo's pretty intensely introverted and awkward, Ari and Skyler started hanging together a lot anyway, so they ended up surprisingly attached to each other. They're both really talkative and extroverted, so they'd do the butt end of the chores since they could talk to each other at the same time (Ari would bully him into doing more around the house once she was old enough hu hu hu). Now that both their parents are employed, it's kind of strange giving some reign of the house back to Mom when he's so used to cleaning up the bathrooms and dusting with Ari. (ONE MORE THING YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR: his room is a lot neater than Sora's because he's used to picking up after himself! It's not perfect but at least he's not tripping over laundry all the time.)
3. There was one moment in middle school when he was 12-ish while his middle school class was unattended. Some kid getting relentlessly hassled by the tougher kids in the classroom. He recalled all of the stories of what his dad's years at school were like - his dad was smart and also the only Filipino kid in his particular school in California, where his school had been mostly well-to-do white kids. He got bullied relentlessly for everything from his academics to his name, and Skyler never liked the sound of that. So instead of siding with the kid, which is what Sora would have done, he sided with the bullies, or at the very least aspired to be someone that they'd like instead of bully. No matter what, he decided, he didn't want to be disliked by people who could hurt him.
(as you can see today, this turned out poorly.)
Is there someone or something Axel would drop everything to address if something went wrong for it/them?
no subject
longer answer: axel doesn't get close enough to people to care enough to drop everything for them. it's not that he's incapable of it: he just considers it a huge hassle. he doesn't see the benefit in being close to someone. he lacks the powerful bonds that his preincarnation had: he doesn't do friendship, he doesn't do loyalty, and he doesn't even do real relationships. he's in it for himself, and only for himself.
that's one of the things that i think will be fun to play with, as he starts getting more echoes of the SUPER FRIENDSHIP FEELINGS that his preincarnation had. he already doesn't know wtf to do with one where he apparently developed a serious issue with the word "flattered". (he echoed back the "I'M SO FLATTERED" moment, and allllll the emotions that came with it. VERY CONFUSING.)
do you think there will ever come a time when skyler begins embracing the echoes he's receiving?
