Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment and any information you see please; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel -

Character: Ryou Bakura: Nerdy McBroodyPants teenager who is starting to actually make friends and not be a total jerkass to everyone. Pickly on the outside, soft on the inside.

Pre-Incarnation: Bakura Ryou (game loving stepford smiler), Yami Bakura (cackling revenge spirit), Thief King Bakura (the thief who fought god)


Pre-Network CR Opportunities: People he knows via the game shop, therapist types that have had him on a caseload, he has some cousins in Japan and a few other scattered relatives off in the Vegas/Cali area.

Open/Wanted CR: People who can crack his shell and get under his skin that won't be rebuffed by his attempts to push them away. People to get into shenanigans with. Mentor types to get him firmly on the path of not being a jerk, questionable moral types to bring out the thief qualities of his darker 3rds.

Other Info: Anyone one who's sensitive to the supernatural's free to notice that Bakura's been summoning Diabound in Invisible mode an awful lot lately and possibly track him down through it.

Anything Else?: He's due to get back from Japan Saturday and his Grandmother will be piecing together the personality shifts, physical changes and other things that Bakura thinks he's hiding better than he is to realize something close to what's actually going on. This will result in EMBARRASSING GRANDMOTHER ENCOUNTERS as she will be wanting to cheer on her grandson's epic quest and help out him and all his super hero friends. Mostly with baked goods and encouragement.

Does Diabound smell like anything? >.> Just outa curiosity.

That's... actually a really good question. As he is now, I'm not sure if he would? Since he's not physical. Possibly a very faint smell of Bakura + desert heat and old stone? Do souls have smells in Lyall's canon? Since he'd be using that sense to sniff him out.

Only transformed souls (werewolves have a particular scent to them, as do vampires) in his canon, though we've apparently decided he can smell some magic via Ravi having a "holy magic" smell... XD

Diabound doesn't have any of his attacks yet, and his abilities are all about avoiding being caught soo... likely not much of any scent at all. :)

Possibly~ But if Lyall has any other way to sense he's there, go for it! Since he has a pretty heavy presence, just not really a smell.

So what is the thief king's deal? Because if Marisa and Bakura planned some kind of stupid heist to steal, like, comic books or something from another network person, that would be the best thing.

Thief King was a tomb robber with a maaassive grudge against the Pharaoh who aimed to steal all the Sennen Items. If the bug bit, he would be trying to steal plot devices/Mcguffins/Items of Power/etc or at the very least, key pieces to things.

...he totally could get talked into a stupid heist though.

Only he has nothing against Alan and doesn't know him well enough to prank him. Unless Marissa really wants to, then he'll run with it.

Hrrrmmm... Kotetsu needs to get more past Bakura's prickly outside which... oddly enough he is slowly managing just by virtue of not being pushed away, but the defenses went back up with the "you are totally bullshitting me right now and you suck at lying 8\" fight. Some display of honesty might help that, though not quite sure what...

Honestly, just shove them at each other more and it should happen naturally, especially if Kotetsu makes it clear he won't let Bakura push him away. Patience and concern help. Especially patience :)

Can try something when Bakura's back from Japan? Since there are gifts to exchange.
