Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

Character: Kenneth "Ken" Bernal
Pre-Incarnation: Kazuma Kenzaki (Kamen Rider Blade)

In his past life, Kenzaki was a professional Kamen Rider, a naive 20-something orphan employed by research group BOARD to help them collect information on the Undead, thought to be the secret to human immortality. When BOARD was all but destroyed and nearly all of the 52 Undead were released to wreak havoc, Kenzaki used the Kamen Rider system as Kamen Rider Blade to help seal these escaped Undead into cards. He spent the rest of his time being a huge dumbass and becoming friends with Hajima Aikawa. Then he does some things I won't detail because spoilers but they're really dumb and really selfless.

In this life, Ken Bernal is a nurse, the adopted son of a lawyer and a dentist in California. He recently moved to Locke City to be an ER nurse after his roommate back in CA decided to move to Arizona, making living alone cost prohibitive, and like hell he was moving back into his parents' house at 27.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: He has a younger sister who's younger than him. I'm perfectly content to give him a roommate (or roommates) provided they're in the upper 20's! He works at the city hospital, most prominently in the ER.

Open/Wanted CR: I'm open for everything, but especially people who are likely to fuck with him. Kenzaki is the kind of person who gets swept up in other people's problems and winds up betrayed because of it, but he never actually gets any less naive. He's the best kind of idiot.

Other Info: He will eventually be echoing back stuff from the finale but I want to keep that far, far off. It's a big thing to deal with!!

Anything Else?: I've lost control of my life.

Good news! Hajime doesn't remember anything about the finale, either, and really all he remembers of Kenzaki specifically is hitting Blade and saying everyone is his enemy. (At least his social skills are better now.)

...yet he's still a walking Echo train waiting to happen because hahaha horrible bug monster with a handful of Rouse Cards over here.

Yeah, I took a look at your Echoes page when I was writing up TDM stuff! Such a fresh and new Hajime to befriend all over again, in that respect! They can hopefully discover the terrible together. (An achievement they can both boast about, tbh.)

They can be Echo trains colliding at full speed! It'll be... fun. For a given value of "fun".

So like, hey, I'm apping this minor villain from Blade here, so of course these two need to run into each other? :D :D :D

If Ken's an ER nurse, maybe there's a chance he'd bump into Jack (har har yes that's his name now) after a semi-planned incident where he gets on the bad side of some Blood Keys and they mug him? There might even be green blood! Who knows! Echoes! Excitement! Memories of that one time he put you in a straight jacket and made you fight a monster! Yeah!

yes, definitely. i'm holding off on apping until the end of the month (school... rewatching the show again...) but i'd be happy to have ken run into him. they can have a nice chat about why ken gets the feeling this guy is a lot more awful than he actually looks. green blood aside.

No worries on the app-holding-offing! It took me a long-ass time to get this guy's app together and he's only in like, ten episodes? I had to write the history from scratch, man...

It will certainly be a very nice chat with no tension or uncertainty on either of their parts, no sir!

i took one look at the wiki for blade and gave up, tbh. thankfully, i'm used to writing out histories by now. (i did it for wizard, w, and my go-busters app, so...) more prominently is the fact that i haven't rewatched the show in its entirety in almost a year, really!

absolutely none at all, what could possibly cause that!!

Most of the Kamen Rider wikia stuff is atrocious. It's either not nearly enough information, or way too goddamn much information, oh god. (I had to do it for my Ankh app at another game, too! Rider history solidarity, go?) At least there's someone doing nice new subs set to the prettier, better Blade raws?

At least they can all eventually agree that that weird guy in the red armor that kept shooting everyone was a bit of a jerk and smelled like seaweed?

right?! kenzaki's article includes segments on video game appearances and dedicates way too much time to his decade cameo and not nearly enough time to actual show canon. the new subs are actually what spurred me to finally app! this show is so much easier to watch when everything is actually visible tbh.
