Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

Character: Anthony Janvier
Pre-Incarnation: Anthony - Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: His immediate family consists of only two caring but workaholic parents who've been defaulted to in assumption as having educationally-related professions - neither actively desired (unless-well on the off chance one might be entertaining the idea of apping canonmate Paul Luther in which case I'd be fascinated by the potential to lay most anything out) and likely to have by now dropped patience and declared him runaway. He also has quite a host of relatives French-Catholic in background, including one married aunt and several cousins he was particularly close to when he was small. Agreeable, well-read, and eager-to-please as he is, he was also a bit of a teacher's pet in elementary and much of middle school.

Open/Wanted CR: Anything that'll stick is very much welcome - particularly so would be anyone he can be himself around. So to speak. And especially in the form of p'raps more casual CR around his own age and a bit of a challenge in the form of encouragement/inspiration and/or something to the tune of rivalry or similarly less-harmonious CR - he's not notably clashed with anyone thus far!

Other Info: Anthony's currently really quite dead, really quite prone to panic, and still a bit nerve-racked over both having been seen in public - by at least one non-reincarnate as well as reincarnates - and a (unremoved) hand in an apparent brief zombie outbreak with apologies to Angeline Strauss. Apart from that he's still staying with John Mitchell as a neighbor of Nick Burkhardt and is getting to accept that if he's got a role in things, it's unlikely a combative one, Echo-granted swords aside, and is going to take Ryan's advice in taking up writing on the side - first thought would be intelligent, potentially helpful things on understanding of the reincarnates' situation.

He's also got a red gemstone lodged out of sight behind his right eye and is next due to Echo components for an item-repairing/enchanting spell - one of which'd be best acquired by inadvertently breaking a vase.

I really enjoyed our terribly awkward car-crash ridiculous thread despite how often I buried my face in my hands and went 'oh no'.


... And I actually think if they could get over that, they'd get along very well since they're similar under it all!

Would you be up for follow up CR of some sort?

Ahh my good man would I ever - it pleases me immensely if you thought that thread was as a mess as absurdly spectacular as I did and following up and picking up the figurative pieces in the wake of it could be downright delightful.

I have this vague idea in my head that it would be fun to have it escalate a little then deflate, but I do not know exactly the best way to do it -- I can have Daylen easily re-contact him via a mixture of meddling and curiosity but really I'd like to have them MEET IN PERSON at some point (which I know Anthony is reticent about b/c zombie -- but I suppose it could be an attempt to prove he really is one?) and Daylen to have another minor panic and possible darkspawn echo

Or maybe echo back a shield spell or something and then they can both stare at each other in confusion and dismay. ZOMBIE AND MAGE

Y'know wot Anthony could likely succumb to hope that showing himself in person could be beneficial for that purpose - not cheerfully of course but because 'tis oh so crucial to remove skepticism in the current state of things! I'm unsure where you'd imagine, from there, but that's a small easily-settled thing. =|a

And oh whatever thou dost please do Echo. 8|b Arrange for a delayed shield spell via say unwitting crossing-paths with a Blood Key beforehand and have it pop up upon recalling the darkspawn if you must, if that'd not be much too much of a whammy.

Which was far too many words in which to restate aye, whatever you'd please to have ensue!

I Imagine he'd PANIC but -- well, especially if I give him an echo (and especially if it causes him to reflexively spell cast), there is only so much denial you can upkeep when stuff is right in front of you. I think pushed that far he'd give way to taking things seriously and also asking questions to satisfy his curiosity.

ALSO part of me wants Anthony to have the satisfaction of Daylen going from utter scepticism and thinking him depressed/insane/etc to being the one doing something impossible, like spell casting, I will not lie.

Then they would probably end up going the other end of the spectrum of ridiculous and calmly drinking tea or something while discussing how wacky everything is because Daylen is British and that is how he deals with a crisis

Pahh if you can forgive my lateness in responding again then be assured beyond doubt that a measure of mutual startling followed by rapid well-let's-start-that-again feather-smoothing and subsequent gentlemanly discussion of curiosities would be a priceless thing I likewise would not deny.

Yes that is the perfect way to describe it yes. I have set up a thing which should variously trigger chaos echos with Alistair (Team HA HA THIS JOKE IS GETTING OLD ISNT IT) and then once he is suitably I can maybe hit Anthony up.

Does he need to be told someone's number to private message them or if he's spoken to them already (via his laptop) can he... click them somehow to send a message... MAGICAL NETWORKS, SO PERPLEXING

Easy rule of thumb is that a person's number is viewable for memorization and/or other noting to private message them with if they've used it in a method that would've left it physically present - for example if they write it down to connect as opposed to dialing it into a phone and calling into the network, etc. Thus as Anthony had started off hand-writing on his end of these two's first conversation the number shall be there at Daylen's disposal.

Seconding the request for follow-up CR- I would have tagged one of his more recent posts but I wasn't quite sure yet how Michelle would be likely to respond to him after the log! (Also work and family and tag block happened.)

Ooh wholly understandable. X_X But ha even without that fact not a problem in the slightest and that'd be a delight~! I shall make note to tag Michelle with 'im on my end - and beyond the fact that they would've likely figured they're on the same side I expect any lingering shock over the suddenness and circumstance of that run-in can be settled further through relative familiarity!

And I can see her feeling pretty bad for him about the zombification thing. (By the by, I think she'll be relieved if she ever sees herself in an echo, because whew she was a standard-issue human.)

she will still probably be a teeeensy bit freaked out that anthony isn't going to un-undead like the others, but i think that could be a good segue into somewhat stilted, well-meaning apologies and a soon-to-be magical girl getting up in his grill about using that undead spine of his.

Ahh by the by also how ought IC pacing of this have been - namely d'you think it'd have come up as a direct proposal in their current thread or that it'd have remained a bit more up in the air?

Not paranoid at all, but yes, I'm still definitely interested in this! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, training this week at work got hectic!

Nick'd probably give him a direct proposal - something along the lines of "you should think this over and maybe talk to John or Alex about it, but if you decide you want to do it, let me know when."

Currently Anders believes, based on Daylen's description, that Anthony must have really really good stage makeup, possibly some sophisticated silicone face prosthetics. This is beyond what he would expect even from Improv Everywhere! HAS THUNDERCORP HIRED ACTORS. IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT BUDGET FUNDING ALL OF THIS

Oh dear late response but alas I did not even know that Improv Everywhere existed until reading Anders and Daylen's thread and it sounds somewhat terrifying but that said!

Should situation and/or other convenience allow 'twould be his duty to put suspension of belief if that be a thing to the test~!
