Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment and any information you see please; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel -

Character: Daylen Amell
Pre-Incarnation: The Warden

Formerly a diplomatic mage who rallied together differing races to take down an archdemon and save his country, now he's been re-incarnated as a human rights lawyer! Daylen tends towards cautious, polite approaches in life but has a passion for doing the right thing and a horrible tendency to meddle and take on everyone else's problems -- to the point where it can become slightly annoying. At the moment he is deeply in denial about the reality of the network because he is too pragmatic and logical to believe in magic.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities:
- Born in England to a wealthy family, grew up in Kent
- Attended Tonbridge school (private, boys-only expensive school) until he was sent to America
- (SUFFERED SOME CULTURE SHOCK)
- From his late teens lived in California
- Studied law in Berkley
- Moved to Locke City after an unhappy incident uncovering shenanigans during his internship
- Has a Labrador he walks a lot and holds discussions with very seriously (no not really that seriously)
- Might be spotted going to and from medical appointments

Open/Wanted CR:
- People who don't mind a meddling person trying to help them! Daylen is at his best when allowed to MEDDLE and look out for others.
--> Also if you OOCly want someone to come meddle and help your character I can have him do this even if there is IC resistance at first because STUBBORN LITTLE SHIT
- People who DO mind and force him to remember NOT EVERYONE WANTS SOMEONE MEDDLING IN THEIR THINGS. He can meddle a step too far and conflict in that regard is fun.
- General number friends to help him come out of denial!

Other Info:
Daylen tends towards not believing Network Things at the moment because Anders has convinced him it is an elaborate prank by Improv Everywhere. SORRY. He's starting to doubt, though, so he's easing up.

Anything Else?:

Daylen has Huntington's -- he basically will never talk about this unless he knows someone very well and/or they are a medical professional or student and he has a question (or they are in his house and find something).

If you would like to befriend him but avoid that it is super easy therefore, and eventually I plan to echo his warden tendencies/illness and magic to overwrite the genetic trait.

REAL TALK I think these two Would potentially, but I think Daylen would need to echo back more of himself first -- ease his denial and regain some Heroic Necessity (the world is in danger and I must save it! And also take all these quests!) as that brings out his more serious/earnest side more easily, and they sort of have similarly problematic pre-incarnations (war, naivety going into it, issues with what is right, desire to end it with as little bloodshed but that necessitating bad things)

yes yes that all sounds right on the money to me. i figure if either of them posts about something of that nature in the future i can take that as a cue to jump on it, since shoehorning cr in BECAUSE I LIKE YOU probably wouldn't work out well.

Would Daylen appreciate a demonstration of shadow mimicry to convince him otherwise? (Don't worry, Xander was in denial of the whole thing at first too.)

Random question, how friendly is his dog and does it like cats?

I don't know about appreciate but he'd certainly be interested, especially as his denial eases because he has horribly insatiable curiosity.

Also his labrador loves everyone and everything it is dopey and wants to be FRIENDS even when other people/animals do not

I guess appreciate was the wrong word to use there, my apologies. But, curiosity and interest is good to hear! /failing horribly right now at trying to convey proper words and direction for this.

Awww. Kind of like his owner then in befriending everyone aspect? Is there's a possibility these two could bump in to each other during a walk?

It's quite all right, I was teasing a little. You aren't failing! And yes, they're somewhat alike in that. They could definitely bump into one another! Did you have something specific you were kind of hoping for? They could easily get to chatting and just somehow stumble upon the fact that they are both numbers, or if you wanted something more dramatic we could do a blood keys thing. Or else they could just chat and have coffee and be oblivious to the fact that they are both numbers until they spot each other on the network (which could admittedly be quite funny in and of itself)

Oh. That was my bad for not recognizing it. I don't really have much for the moment since I'm bad at coming up with things on the spot and currently ironing out a few details from December before I can do anything else.

I'm totally okay with them bumping in to each other and either discovering they're both members of the network either there or at a later date. As for a possible Blood Key encounter, Xander wouldn't be exactly keen on it but he wouldn't stand idly by to see someone get hurt. (Presently finishing up a log involving him saving Ravindra from two members, ended up getting shot in the shoulder so far.) Buuuuut, he recently echoed back his preincarnation's sadistic trait, mixed with a morbid mindset and demented amusement (both things from his preincarnation), so things would probably become pretty nasty.
