The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme - First of 2014

The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment and any information you see please; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel -

I picked up the first book when I was stuck on vacation with my family in the middle of a teeny town. I made myself like it and when I re-read I still kind of liked it. It's definitely not as interesting as the last herald mage series or the Hawkbrothers.

I have the first book for Darian's trilogy but sadly haven't read the other two. I really enjoyed the first one but actually held off on the second because a friend told me a female was introduced with the sole purpose of being a love interest and I was really tired of those kinds of stories. I will pick them back up eventually.

I enjoyed Darien's Tale well enough, but after all the GRAND EPICNESS of the Winds/Storms trilogies (+ Black Gryphone) they kind of felt... I dunno, just so strangely small in scope. It was a little bit of a let down, I guess? Idk, man.

On the other hand, Firesong and Silverfox are in the second and third of Darian's, so catching up with them was pretty cool. And like worth it for reading them I think.
