The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme - First of 2014
Another round of the CR/Plotting Meme with which to begin a new year!
As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters - when doing so, please label with characters' reincarnated names (if decided!) and pre-incarnated names and canons in the comments' subject lines.
For characters of either status, toss up a comment and any information you see please; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel -
Graham Specter | Baccano!
Pre-Incarnation: also Graham Specter because hey, it's on the very short list of normal names in Baccano!
Reincarnation: Graham is a talkative, easy-going junior majoring in Philosophy at Locke City University. He's a smart kid with good grades (about a 3.0 GPA), but the general consensus is that he's one of those types who can't make up his mind about anything and is therefore destined to drift through life with no ambition whatsoever. People tend to think he's either a stoner or a bit odd because of how he rambles on about everything; if something can be said in five words, Graham will ALWAYS use 15 at the very least.
Pre-incarnation: This guy. But for those who don't want to watch a 6 minute video, Graham Specter is an INCREDIBLY unstable and violent mechanic-turned-muscle for the Russo crime family. He possesses ludicrous speed and strength (he's capable of taking a car apart in mid-air, for crying out loud), but unfortunately that incredible physical power comes with some personality hiccups. He's absolutely obsessed with taking things apart, be they inanimate or human (though he does not kill for personal reasons). He's prone to dramatic mood swings, sending him between the depths of despair and wretchedness to gleeful, unstoppable highs within a matter of minutes. He is extremely talkative and has a rather impressive vocabulary and insight for a 1930's street punk, but since his mood turns on a dime, he often contradicts his own statements. Sometimes in the same sentence.
Pre-Network CR Opportunities: People who attend LCU will probably have seen him around campus, especially if they have taken any philosophy classes or are in that vicinity. He's a friendly guy who isn't terribly picky about who he hangs out with. It's more if they can handle how chatty he is.
Open/Wanted CR: I'm open to anything, up to and including negative CR! That can be a lot of fun. And because Graham's preincarnation is such an unstable guy, the more he changes to reflect that personality, the more I expect characters in friendly CR relationships with him might grow concerned over his behavior.
Other Info: As kind of mentioned above, if I bring him in to the game, Graham's reincarnation will be stable and even-tempered when he first starts getting his echoes. But the closer he becomes to his original self, the more unpredictable, unstable, and violent he'll become. It's unlikely he'd work with the aliens, but he wouldn't work well at all with clashing personalities on the good side either. As he does in his preincarnation's canon, Graham would likely form alliances and rivalries based on his own odd logic.
Anything Else?: I guess this is going to be kind of a disclaimer. I realize that Graham's issues share signs/symptoms with some real life mental illnesses/disorders. The series is not shy about applying loaded terms to him ('maniac', 'crazy', etc), but because it never specifies, I would do the same here. Basically, I don't want to do any armchair diagnosing out of respect for people who may have conditions in real life. It's a touchy subject, so I'd fully understand if people wanted to opt out of interaction with him because of it.
Otherwise, I'm open to suggestions on pretty much anything.
Re: Graham Specter | Baccano!
I feel like with graham it'd be time to bolt everything to the floor. And then I realize that will do nothing. oh my god.
