This is a BIT more goofy than the usual memes on this journal, BUT! I actually always find it SUPER HELPFUL when posting to have character/situation songs in mind, be it to set a mood, to make a scene work, or just to get me writing. Music has helped define some games for me! Finally, it's a fun way to discover new bands.

This is probably more personal than most of these, but it fits for me. The basic premise drew me in for much the same reason that I replay Zelda games: partly to beat up Ganondorf (or... Vaati and Bellum and Malladus; I don't actually have any of the Zeldas with G-Dude in them), but partly for the experience of going from three-hearts-and-a-dinky-sword to all-the-hearts-all-of-them-and-the-master-sword-and-the-bombs-and-the-hookshot-and-and-and
