There have been loads of new characters and new configurations of threads since our last one! And thus, where is the harm?

To any and all up for it:

DON'T LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE EYES

friend guilt :( he'll probably try?? to make more of an effort to push himself away from killian because he doesn't want him finding out about the whole key thing and he DEFINITELY doesn't want them to be close if he does find out. basically he sees killian as yet another way he fucks up everything he actually likes in his life. as a person, he finds killian very likable and normal, which is really important to him as his entire life spins wildly out of control :( since killian was before his whole friend diaspora, he doesn't have quite the same misgivings about killian turning around and manipulating him somehow that he does with everyone else. this leads to him thinking that killian's probably the only real friend he has. he absolutely intends on making the blood key thing up to killian somehow, whether killian is willing to accept it or not, but he's kind of resigned himself to the conclusion that he's a piece of trash and killian deserves better friends.

ok you know those friends in your friend group were really poisonous and awful and belittled everyone else and people only tolerated them because some other people were ok with them and insisted that they join in on stuff and gelled them together with the group and that poisonous person just attracted more assholes until things got really awful and dysfunctional and the people who were ok with them slowly got less ok and turned into really meanhearted assholes and people are like WHEN THE FUCK DID THAT HAPPEN

Though in this case the sense of betrayal and anger is coming before the adoption but regardless it's not lasting too long.
