TEST DRIVE MEME

Test Drive Meme!

Scenarios:
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. HOW FUN
> Arts and Crafts Fair. All the kitschy fun you can imagine.
> Wild Card! Make up your own.

Yeah...probably... [Now Fili's squirming inside a bit at the thought. But a childhood of kids bullying HIM has his default reaction to situations like these is to stay neutral and out of the way.]

That's not a bad idea. I could probably use a coffee.

There's a good place outside of the --mall, if you go left out of the entrance that way. [He points in the direction he means. Mall is said with a degree of hesitation, shopping centre still sounds more natural to him, but using native term normally saves him from being questioned.

He also likes the coffee shop because he's badgered them into making tea how he likes it, but that's by the by.

Sounds good. You a tea drinker or a coffee guy? [Fil caught the small hesitation and raised his eyebrow a bit, but declined to ask about it.]

Green or white tea, but it can be hard to find it done well here. [Gabriel grins. What's that term the kids use these days? Hipster. Not that he normally had much of a better reaction at home - what's white tea, can you brew it for half an hour, where does the milk go?]

What about you?

I'm Gabriel, by the way.

English tea is more common, yeah. Due to the fact that Brits can't live without it and so bring it everywhere they go. [Fil grins in reply, remembering a classmate back in University who literally could not live without it.]

Me? I'm a coffee drinker mostly, though I don't object to tea now and then.
